We've just implemented the latest updates to make aspace hunting more interesting-ranged attacks and slowing ships down as the hull is damaged. I've set this to be pretty mild (relatively speaking) so if aetherspace is STILL too easy, let us know and we can gradually increase the difficulty.

Sounds like a good idea, Ever think of trying to link ship exp together, make a part of aetherspace ment for armada fighting?

I think you should count the implodes per hour after these updates.

If it's less than 1, it's still too easy smile.gif

Well, after that, we've tweaked the aetherbeasts so they shouldn't fire so often...

Long ranged attacks made imploding happen more often and unless your not in a ship there's nothing interesting about that.

Yeah, we noticed something Est. Shield went down when no beasts of the type that killed us were anywhere nearby. Water was clear of gruuls, gorgogs, pyrinnes, and flux serpents. The nearest would've been at LEAST two farhorizon+antennae away. There was no way that was a legit implosion.

EDIT: Laranda bugged it btw.

We didn't have any trouble while we were out there, the gargantuans shooting at us just scared Viynain was all. tongue.gif

Only problem I see is that one room ships are probably worthless now, should give some mid-high piloting ability that protects against them, but you can't shoot while it's up or something.

I'm on break from Lusternia right now, but I agree with Lehki. One room ships will likely be useless after this change, unless some mechanic is introduced to allow them to avoid being hit. When I get back, I'll be rather sad if I can't use my personal ship to fly to aetherbubbles without buying another room, empathic grid and hiring a permanent empath monkey.
