o.o

That's a fairly awesome artifact. This helps to justify a lot of the tediousness in these quests (but as I understand it, the final epic quest is different (and more fun?) than the one you have to repeat 5 times). Would be nice to get confirmation of artifact exits from Jozen (and whoever'll be the first Celestian...right now looks like Dynami's ahead)

Actually, Inagin and I are tied: 3 to 3.
Razenth2009-10-03 17:54:54
You damn well better be the first one.
Dynami2009-10-10 00:20:45
Yay! I finally completed it!

Here is how the mantle looks like:
Looking as if woven of waters of the Pool of Stars into a mantle that somehow maintains cohesion, the surface of this mantle is cool and silky to the touch yet flows and sways with the fluid movements of liquid. Endless darkness is all that can be used to describe the Mantle of Starlight, an eternal midnight of empty blackness laced with wild constellations and fluctuating arrangements of stars, allowing the wearer to revel in the slow and timeless motions of the cosmos. Fashioned into an elegant mantle, a pale ivory brooch rests at the neck on one side, complete with a woven cord of glistening white thread to allow the wearer to tighten it for a more comfortable fit. Designed to flow down the wearer's shoulders and back fluidly and crest in great swooping fans across his chest, the Mantle of Starlight's lack of solid form makes it impossible to tell its size, yet always does it fit those who wear it.
It weighs 8 ounce(s).
It bears the distinctive mark of Postulant Dynami Zayah.

The first part of the quest was really long and tedious and I encountered some unexpected problems lighting the beacons, but it all worked out. After that, I had to complete three quests that help the Light: The tome of Rememberance, the Malacoda Manor quest, and summoning Marilynth. Each quest had a few bumps here and there, but they were really fun to do. Overall, it was a really fun experience and I made some new friends.
Edit: the short name is "The Mantle of Starlight"

Congrats, Dynami!

Shortname for the artifact please smile.gif

Also, get a move on, Magnagora. This needs completing!
Zalandrus2009-10-10 01:17:31
Wow, the epic quest sounds more involved than I thought. Congrats on finishing!!
Mirami2009-10-10 04:22:28
I wish Seren's epic-quest item were a mantlet...

How many times did you have to complete each quest?
Esano2009-10-10 23:03:10
Once. Talk to me IG, but I think you forgot a key step in your first quest, as it didn't add power.
Razenth2009-10-10 23:50:36
Since you seem to be the first one doing it, it helps to contact your local admin to watch over you and make sure everything is in order.

Wow, that is a genuinely awesome epic item.
Dynami2009-10-12 17:36:12
The only thing that I don't like about it is that it has more exits to Water than to Celestia dry.gif. Other than that, it's really fun to use and has a timed emote thingy!

So rumor has it the city cubixes work in cosmic/astral while the commune ones only work up to elemental. Confirm/deny.

You some really bad informants tongue.gif. But, I am having difficulties with my "cubix".
Unknown2009-10-12 23:09:15
Well that's why I asked! So have at it!
Razenth2009-10-12 23:10:20
It's being bugged. Will get back to you when it's fixed.

Forged of crimson-tinged, tainted iron, this key radiates a malevolence befitting its demonic form. Jagged teeth form the bit, riddled with dent-like depressions and raised bumps, sticking out like angry fangs from the pin of the palm-sized trinket. The throating and collar of the key have been twisted, a raised rim of blackened iron set against the deeper, rust-red colour of the twisted and worn iron of a thin depression, forming a perfect circle. Angry red and throbbing black glyphs and runes have been etched across the stem, the very source of the crimson aura. Fashioned into the shape of a demon's grinning skull, complete with horns, the bow has been etched with the symbols of pestilence, despair, pain, wrath and domination, its opened mouth leaking an angry red smoke. A thin, rusted iron jewelry chain has been fed through one eye and the back of the demon's skull, allowing it to be worn about the neck.
It weighs 9 ounce(s).
It bears the distinctive mark of Xanfinro, Savant of Bhalegu.

wear key
You slip into the Iron Key to the Infernal Machine.
As the Iron Key to the Infernal Machine settles about your neck its teeth and shaft clink mechanically as they slowly spin, crimson smoke billowing from the eye sockets of the demonic skull. A sense of hatred, of pain, of damnation and endless hunger fills you suddenly.

Edit: Shuyin's a :censored:. Way to spoil the magic.
Unknown2009-10-16 20:02:00
Neat, congrats again. Sorry for the breakin.
Ixion2009-10-16 20:21:43
No you're not, go run into a knife. Xanfinro, die in a fire for letting him do that, lag or no lag. Good god man.. seriously?

Merik2009-10-16 20:34:28
Simmer down, it's not like he pimpslapped your mom.
Ixion2009-10-16 20:36:35
I'd rather him do that then have to witness such an epic qu..fail.
