Because I'm betting we have someone who has a rez ability. Vote me leader, confirm me as town and avoid us giving a mafia member a lynch protection, if we have someone with some sort of rez ability they can then bring me back if they think it is worth it.
Lorick2009-09-29 21:10:28
That is actually a good plan.. Especially if we don't have to out our vig. I'd best warn you though, I can't res so I don't know for certain there is one. I'd support this on that basis though.
Unknown2009-09-29 21:12:36
I don't know for certain either, I'm just taking the risk on a gut feeling. Bali seems to love lots of powers in his games, I bet I'm probably closest to true vanilla.

Actually, since we have to lynch anyway it seems like it'd work better if we choose a leader, lynch Othero and have the leader hammer. That way the leader dies. Then we have 2 people with completely revealed roles, and we can rez either of them (assuming we can rez). Othero can act as our day-vig, and if rezzed, he'd actually be as good as leader. No one would ever lynch him if it kills that person as well, so he still gets lynch immunity.

That being said,
Retract nomination for Requiem
Nominate Celina for unlynchable
Lorick2009-09-29 21:41:22
Wait, hold on, Req, how would Othero act as our day vig? He only claimed revenge. Also, why vote for Celina when we would have to go through two layers of protection to kill her?
Lorick2009-09-29 21:42:23
Ugh, for some reason I said two. I mean one.

By "hammer", I think he means the elected leader should give the final vote on Othero... making the revenge trigger on the leader. Am I not correct?
Unknown2009-09-29 21:46:19
Yup. Which would verify Celina as kill resistant and remove the layer of protection if we need to kill her later. And if we can rezz someone, we can bring Othero back. Doc should be randomly on Lorick or Celina tonight if we do this. Lorick claimed "jack of all trades" so if he's actually not mafia, then we need him, and Celina would be semi-clear for now. Plus, just the idea of a 50/50 no kill scenario might encourage the mafia to shoot someone else entirely.

This only works if the leader isn't mafia and agrees to cast the final vote ... if the leader doesn't, it's not like we can lynch them in retribution!
Lorick2009-09-29 21:50:47
Hmm, that could work so long as Celina plays ball and the revenge doesn't go through protection, and even if it does we are down the position that was the cause of all this orginally. Yeah, I could go for that, hell of a lot better than picking at random and Othero seems pretty certain about the resses and to be honest it's his call to make on that one.
Unknown2009-09-29 22:00:15
Then we lynch Othero now, and finish the nominations later. I don't know for sure Bali will let us do it, but he did say we could do both at the same time, and presumably the mechanics would work the same way.

Lynch vote: Otherp
Lorick2009-09-29 22:01:56
Erm, we don't know for certain the resser is able to do so during the day if we have one. If that is the case, whom is going to become leader?

You've gone from a plan that kills one townie today to killing either two or three. If we vote me leader and then use a day kill on me, your first plan, we have one dead townie. We then hope, I never said we had one just that there is a good chance we do, that we have a rez ability. Your next plan, have Celina become leader and then lynch me would be two dead townies. Now you're saying we vote Celina leader, use a day kill on her, and then lynch me. That leads to three dead people. Please tell me you have a good reason for slowly wanting to up our body count.
Lorick2009-09-29 22:09:18
I think his plan is to nominate Celina and have her finish the lynch on you. She claimed resistant to kill attempts, so he figured it would help prove her power with your death. I could see that as something viable barring a few issues. This latest course though of voting for you first just went off the deep end though.
Unknown2009-09-29 22:09:52
That's not at all what I was suggesting. I said we could use you instead of a day-vig by lynching you. If Celina is telling the truth, it results in a single dead townie, you. Who volunteered.

Also FoS = finger of suspicion, for those who don't know. It indicates someone you think might be mafia but you aren't actually committed to voting for yet.

Yep, that sounds like the plan from what I gathered. But I think we're also going to have to finish the challenge first before getting a lynch, which complicates things a little?
Lorick2009-09-29 22:17:54
If we are following the rules of the last game, you _must_ finish a challenge before you can lynch.
Celina2009-09-29 22:24:51
Sure.

This better not backfire.

Nominate Celina for Leader
Vote: Othero
