Oh, I forgot to address the other part of that quote.
Are you really asking me to role claim? The only thing I'm telling you is that I can't verify myself today. Stop fishing.

Ugh, the question you asked was too late at the time you put it forth. The first one wasn't applicable and I had Bali wanting to get off the thread. Next time, we can discuss it more in detail. You aren't a vig, an investigator, nor resser, but important enough to attempt to hide yourself but you feel the need to be vocal enough in whom gets elected and whom the town lynches, which you've really attempted to hammer home that they have to be a package deal. You've put forth suggestions of just killing a random townie, sacrificing a townie, killing a townie to strip another of their claimed immunity.. And... To top off this little shindig you've got going, claimed on three seperate occasions that you have at the very strong enough concerns to be vocal about that we lack Investigator, Resser, or/and Vig.
1. No one else has come forward with Day Kills. Perhaps they don't exist
2. No one else has come forward claiming Jack of all Trades. Perhaps they don't exist
3. I've claimed pretty much everything I can, you still don't believe, fine. But then you turn around and suggest someone you know even less apart in a direct hypocrispy of the orginal logic.

What? No, I'm not asking for any claims. This day has had too many so far. There really should of only been two, whomever was elected and whomever challenged that person if it came up. You managed to drag out a third. If you have a role worth hiding, KEEP IT HIDDEN, but your actions bonded with your inability to come forward yourself does tend to lend itself to suspicion, especially when you start suggesting such action in direct opposition to what you started this whole little oddessy on.

*temples*
I realized I sort of confused some things earlier but this conversation is starting to go too long. You're mostly arguing :censor:, the whole leader thing is a good deal of BS.
Unnominate Othero for leader
Unvote
Ok, I went back and looked at everything and if we are going to do this death thing to confirm roles then we are doing it like this. We first vote Celina for leader. Celina should probably hand off the gold. Then we lynch me with the killing vote. Lorick, this leaves Celina open to a day kill from you. I hope that covers your suspicion of her.
Nominate Celina for leader
Vote Othero
Any questions?

I do have one problem with this plan. You prove powers, you prove nothing about role alignment.
Unknown2009-09-30 03:53:07
Well if Othero agrees with the plan then eh we can see what happens.
Nominate Celina for leader
Vote: Othero

My role gets confirmed and Celina's power gets confirmed. It will also open up Celina to a day kill so that she isn't completely protected.

I still don't like it, something weird is going on.

Again in reverse order.
3) The choices are you or Celina as you are the only ones with provable powers at the moment. I think you mishandled your power proving ceremony. Therefore, I choose Celina.
2) Who cares? I don't even know what to do with this statement. If you were trying to go somewhere with that, I must have missed it so you should probably elaborate.
1) See point 2.
Big uber paragaph)
The first question would have been fine. Like I've been saying since the very beginning, even if the king had said "I dunno, dude" the fact that you were willing to ask the question would have been enough for me to be ok with it. And you're the only one saying that the question was invalid. Bali supposedly PM'd you, so we have nothing to go on but your word. And if you're scum, then that doesn't help us much.
You're the one who keeps saying that I'm not a vig, cop, or rezzer. I never said that. You're making assumptions again without explaining why you're making them. I realize that we have to make some assumptions in order to continue with the game, but at least explain why you're making them so we can decide if they're safe gambles to make or not. Again, you're role fishing. If nothing else, if you can get me to confirm that I'm not

Proving powers is the best we can do right now. Did you want to be elected leader? Did you have a better suggestion?

My role literally brings nothing to the table, unless I have more gold than the rest of you for some reason. The better solution is to just keep discussing and pick someone based on reduced suspicion. Proving powers is just as bad as nothing. And, more likely than not, by the next day we'll be down 2-3 people. There is no reason to rush into this, take it slow.
Unknown2009-09-30 04:21:23
We aren't really rushing into this we are coming up on the end of the second day here and close to 17 pages. Anyone who would have wanted to be a leader would've spoken up by now.

17 pages and 48 hours is nothing. It's a flash in the pan, a breath, a wink of an eye. In a mafia game day one, I want 1000 galaxies to be born and then die off.

We've also had everyone participate. Except Dag. Is he actually playing or did I just miss him? It's definitely not like him to be this quiet if he only posted once.
On second thought, I'd kinda like to get this party finished before he shows up. Dag brings only chaos to the table.

Holy crap this thread is spammy. Thoughts from skimming:
1. I am not lurking, I was, you know, "recharging my batteries." Sheesh.
2. You guys are overanalysing the hell out of Lorick's position. He screwed up on the king power. We have little other reason to believe he's scum or lying about anything.
3. Req decidedly takes one side of a two-part value proposition. (1: we kill the unlynchable we pick, little risk of screwing up UNLESS Celina is daykill immune scum which is not out of the question since she claimed it's 1-shot since I last posted. 2: we pick someone most likely to be town, whether randomly or not, and use their gold to buy hax investigation items.)
4. It seems like everyone else is going for 1 too, so I guess a reversal of momentum is unlikely. Also, 1 is unlikely to screw us even if Celina is scum, hopefully...but I'm not sure if we can rule out the possibility mentioned above, meaning we'll have to be really damn careful not to let the vig die.
5. I think I might have been wrong about the incentive for the scum to kill the unlynchable, actually, it depends what we can use gold for this time. I didn't pay attention all the way through the last one so I'd forgotten about the crazy items available until someone in the thread reminded me.
6. Zetsu has a point in that people wanting to be leader more than the other options available should have spoken up by now. I also think we should keep early claims to a minimum. Maybe as in game 1 the scum don't want to reveal themselves early but I have reason to suspect it's suboptimal for town to reveal early this game too.

Oh, right, may as well unnominate nominate Celina for leader. Won't vote Othero until we get a votecount just in case there are any last words.
Incidentally, why haven't you given us a flavour claim since you've given us your power, Othero? (I forget if Celina did...)

Didn't really seem important to me. I'm your generic peasant boy with dead parents who wants revenge.
Shiri2009-09-30 05:33:12
It's always important because we can flavour check people for scum.
Since you're basically offering to be lynched I guess it's not THAT crucial in this instance, but making sure everyone does it is a good habit to get into.
Oh, and here's Daganev.

I had to stop reading on page 12 to jump to the end... Are you guys really THIS STUPID?!?
Daganev2009-09-30 05:51:43
It appears the town really is this stupid.... I'm guessing not much else was said between pages 12 and 16...
Can't beleive you are posting 8 pages a day... damn.
Requim repeated multiple times, that the leader is really just an unlychable... Which is not true at all. 500 gold gets you a lot of good and usefull items. When called on this fact, he said the gold should just be given to people... but to whom?
He then comes up with this crazy plan, that will kill two townies, and leave the scum free to kill a third.... Then he comes up with this idea for Othero to die, kill a townie, and then have no way to distribute the gold. (especially with having people vote leader and lycnh in the same move!?)
Are you guys suicidal or just trying to let Requim win the game?
I think if we are to follow requim's plan, then we should be voting for Requim to be leader, and kill him off.
