QUOTE (casilu @ Oct 19 2008, 01:23 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Rules Which I Have Stolen (And Edited) That You Must Read Despite The Obnoxious Title Capitalisation
Voting is required to be in the format Vote: Fain. Abbreviations and/or IG names are okay as long as they are comprehensible and widely known. Voting must be bolded to count.
Please unvote if you wish to change your vote. This is encouraged so as to make vote-counting easier, but I won't penalise you for revoting without including the unvote. Day lasts until one of the following happens: a player has a majority of votes, no lynch has a majority of votes, or a deadline comes.
Once a player or no lynch hits a majority, it is Twilight. No amount of unvoting will make any difference. You may continue to talk until I post the results of the lynch and declare that it is Night.
I reserve the right to call a deadline at any time if a day is taking too long. At deadline, the player with most votes will be lynched. In case of a tie, no one will be lynched.
After the day ends and the lynching occurs, it is Night. At this point, if your role allows it, you may talk to people via PM or PM your night choices to me. If you do not declare your night-choice within a reasonable window of time, I will count that as ‘No Action’. I will say reasonable as 24 hours, unless I know you will be gone for that time, message me if you will and exceptions will be made
Day will restart as soon after Night deadline as possible.
Do not quote anything relevant to the game from outside the thread. That includes PMs or parts of PMs from me, PMs from people you can talk to at night, or random observations third parties make elsewhere.
Do not talk about this game outside the game, unless your role permits. Only talk at night with your PMs. The conditions under which you may talk will be included in your role PMs.
Do NOT edit your posts. Ever. Period. Even to fix typos. Double post if you have to.
If you're not going to be available for more than 72 hours, let me know. If you're not going to be available for more than a week, I reserve the right to find a replacement.
I reserve the right to modkill anyone who breaks either the game or these rules. They really aren't very hard. If you are unsure as to whether you are breaking a rule, PM me to clarify.
I am always right, except when I'm not.
As a note, I'm not going to be modkilling people for determining scum by looking at people's profile views. It's your own fault if you get caught that way. Don't PM via the profile, because everyone can see you visited theirs.
Expect pain. Oh, and if part of the role PM is in like that, that means that it may or may not be in the actual PM to the one with that role.
Bad jokes are my thing.
No morse code, binary, or anything else not written in normal English. Especially you, Tervic.
Role is going out now!

You win with the town.
Class one:
Orb- You're an orb, not harmful at all. You win with the town.
Shandor cultist: AHHHHHHHH! AHHHHHHHHH! YOU'RE TRAPPED!!!11!!!ELEVEN! YOU WIN WITH THE CULT OF SHANDOR.
(Can only be made by Shandor and doesn't count as vanilla.)

Ghost of Christmas Future: You can see the target's win condition. You win with the town.
Ro: Ro, Sham, Bo. Jester trio. If one is converted, the next two conversions will yield the other two.
To win, one of you has to be nightkilled, one has to be lynched, and the last can go either way.
(Note on these three: before the last one that can go either way,
there has to be the lynch and then the NK, if the first two get lynched, it's over.)
Sham: Ro, Sham, Bo. Jester trio. If one is converted, the next two conversions will yield the other two.
To win, one of you has to be nightkilled, one has to be lynched, and the last can go either way.
Bo: Ro, Sham, Bo. Jester trio. If one is converted, the next two conversions will yield the other two.
To win, one of you has to be nightkilled, one has to be lynched, and the last can go either way.
Chaotic poltergeist: Your goal is to generate chaos and pointless discussion.
You win if the game gets over 100 pages long. You may never doublepost.

Young Voter: You were P. Diddy's biggest fan in life and you died thinking about the vote or die campaign.
Insane and obsessed, you bring with you the spirit (HAHAHA, you're a ghost, get it?) of vote or die.
If someone is not voting by twilight, they die.
Once in the game, in bold, in all caps, you can post VOTE OR DIE, and kill everyone who is not voting,
however, this can only be used when half the town is voting.
You win when you're the only one voting and no one can prevent the same.
Insane Numerologist: In names are power. You have the power to immediately kill someone if they mention their role name.
You can also kill someone at night using your powers. You win when you are the last one left alive or nothing can prevent the same.
Doctor: You're a doctor. Who would have thought? You win with the town.
Class 5:
Slimer: How did you get your license? You are a bus driver, having the ability to switch two people and who they were targeted by that night.
Penguin Ghost: You have the power to revert the converted back to vanilla once a night. You win with the town.
Class 6:
Azetlor the Destroyer: You may speak with the Spiderwitch and the Slor at night.
Every night the three of you pick someone to kill and who to do it, whoever came first sends the message.
If you're not killing that night, you have a nightkill immunity (except from the Ghostbusters).
The Spiderwitch: You may speak with the Azetlor and the Slor at night.
Every night the three of you pick someone to kill and who to do it, whoever came first sends the message.
If you're not killing that night, you can cover someone in web, basically roleblocking them. (doesn't work on Ghostbusters.)
Zuul: You win if you find Vinz Clortho before he finds you. Every night, you have to pick someone to find out if they're Vinz.
Vinz Clortho: You win if you find Zuul before he finds you. Every night, you have to pick someone to find out if they're Zuul.
Class Seven:
Slor: You may speak with the Spiderwitch and the Azetlor at night.
Every night the three of you pick someone to kill and who to do it, whoever came first sends the message.
If you're not killing that night, you can cover someone in slime, making them target a random person, and they're not told they were redirected.
(Ghostbusters are immune.)
Vigo The Impaler: () You win when there are no vanilla townies left in the game.
Every night, you can convert someone away from vanilla, you do not know what the role they get is.
Gozer the Gozerian: () You win when there are no vanilla townies left in the game.
Every night, you can convert someone away from vanilla, you do not know what the role they get is.
Ivo Shandor: Founder of the modern cult of Gozer you have risen above normal mortal spirits to be a destroyer god in your own right,
but first you need more power.
Every night you can trap a ghost in your mandella node, slowing powering you up (you're a cult, basically), and you can only recruit orbs.
If you die, they go free and return to their vanilla state. You win when you're the last threat to the town and have majority.
Stay Puft: Dun dun DUUUUUUUUUUUN. Stay Puft is the last conversion by a Joker, meaning they won the game, but the game is not over.
Not until someone else clearly wins. Why am I telling you all this?
BECAUSE YOU NEED TO CRUSH THEM UNDER YOUR MASSIVE MARSHMALLOWY GIRTH!
Every night you cover someone in marshmallow, basically killing them.
You are immune to nightkills except by the Ghostbusters.
You win when you are the only one left or no one can stop the same.
Completely of the Scale:
Cathulhu: You win when someone says the following phrase: “â€.
Ghostbusters- There will only be one set of Ghostbusters for the game and that's you!

that wasn't a joke

Well, this should be interesting.

Confuuuusing. All the ghosts are bad guys, right? But I thought Slimer was an ectoplasmic, yet still loveable, sidekick?

Nope. Slimer is a good guy as well as the ghosts from the cartoon's Christmas Special.
Oh, and now it's day one.
With 17 alive, it's 9 to lynch. And 14/17 are vanilla townies. Muhahahaha.
Diamondais2009-11-08 18:45:01
With 14/17 vanillas, that either means none of the mafia-esque people have powers for the moment and/or some of the townies that potentially could don't either?
Tervic2009-11-08 18:50:34
Soo..... since there is an -overwhelming- majority vanilla town, I will be guessing that the baby ghost friendly things go RAAWWRR later. Maybe?
Zynna2009-11-08 18:51:33
Chances don't look so good this first round!
Aerotan2009-11-08 18:53:23
That's the theory, from what I read in the roles she gave us in post 3. Apparently the three mafiates decided to not use powers, or weren't able to.
Xavius2009-11-08 19:01:10
While speaking in rhymes is a jolly good time, if vanilla we be, then our tongues can be free?
Alas, it seems not, thus we're stuck in this spot. Non-vanillas be three, but it only be we?
What then of the scum? Have we lost them? Are they numb? And the busters, is it true? The vanillas are all of you?
It seems awry and to be feared! But more likely, Casi's weird. It seems Casilu is unaware that vanilla is with power nowhere.

Kiradawea2009-11-08 19:54:31
Hum...
With Casi is saying may actually work. We've got Gozer and Vigo as non-vanilla. They targetted two people tonight, and that in itself didn't make em change powers. They became Ghost Hands/Lips/Sheets so tomorrow they're gonna be non-vanilla.
Does that make Xavius the third non-vanilla through being Ro? I thought that the last non-vanilla would be the Ghostbuster team...

Testing a theory.
Zenon2009-11-08 21:04:25
What is this theory?
Unknown2009-11-08 21:54:58
Why am I being targetted?
@ Kiradawea: we already had a night round?
Clearly Xavius is one of the jesters. Their win conditions, though, are kinda a side note and rely on being killed off, so uhh...leave him alone for now?

Yeah, the game started on a night.
