Video of Lusternian Combat

Back to Common Grounds.

If someone would be able to record a video (that I could download) of Lusternian combat, as spammy as it can be it would be much appreciated. Thirty seconds to a minute would be fine. More colors and echos are encouraged. Just need it as a downloadable file. Thanks!

If anyone needs some decent (and free) software for capturing such a video, I recommend CamStudio.

I think Mudlet has screen capture capabilities as well.

Yes, but you'd also have to have a fairly capable combat system to show anything interesting. smile.gif

Just go invisible and insert yourself into the next Etherglom raid, heh.

e: tho I guess a God wouldn't have much use for spammy echos and whatnot.

Yes they would. They want to see how it looks from a players perspective.

Highlighting/echos would be nice just to break up monotony of grey text. Domoth fight spam would be fine.

I've had some old logs posted on this forum where we put them into a program with zmud and they would scroll at the relevant pace. Just a matter of finding them and if they are still hosted

No old and busted! Only new hotness!

What, my timestamps that occur by the millisecond aren't a good enough frame of reference?

Could always script something that takes a log and prints it out based on the timestamp...

Voila, instant video.

It doesn't have to be new.. it would be to illustrate to non-mudders how combat looks. If it's from open beta, that's fine.

From personal experience, I've shown non-mudders how bashing looks and they're like, "No way, too fast," and get turned off forever. blackeye.gif

You could probably get hold of a working version of FRAPS somewhere, or whatever Alianna used to make that SWR video of me trashing him a while back...

Even this would be fine.. more spammy the better!

I've shown people what the damn tutorial looks like on regular speed and they said, "No way, too fast." They used the slowdown option, and then asked how to slow down the regular game. blackeye.gif

Should tell them that once you get into it, you stop actually reading everything anyway.
Desitrus2009-12-02 20:51:17
I'm actually in the matrix.

My roommate looks over my shoulder all the time as I'm playing, after I told him I can "EgoWhip people". Now whenever I'm bashing, he yells out behind me "Go! EggoDip, or EgoStrip, or whatever those guys!"

Either way, they STILL think that combat's too fast... Damn Modern Warfare 2 players...
