wonderfull. Well I couldn't unvote, though I would have. Sorry, but I don't play mafia at 2:30 am.

Hey, I already admitted to voting for Siam to protect against the Savatodance. Don't make it out to be some kind of secret. tongue.gif

Just because you weren't hiding it, doesn't mean it wasn't your strategy.

I'll unvote
Vote Kira and hope that Rika was correct. Otherwise, I'm going to go back to voting Shiri. Because I think his mistakes revealed his hand, and there's not much else to discuss about it.

As Silferras pointed out, we should be more concerned about the people who are randomly voting.

Which of the five people besides Kira were voting randomly? I don't think you can claim that Shiri, Casilu or myself were voting randomly. I don't remember why Dugan was voting and who was the 5th?

Dugan voted on Kira way back for reasons I don't remember him ever expanding on beyond her being suspicious.

Savatodance = Rika's swordtech? I didn't catch that the first round, but if that's the case, vote: Kiradawea. Only unvoting after Rika used her power and went to bed is pretty damning after what Rika was insinuating about using her power.

He did, actually, not that it was particularly helpful.

QUOTE (Dugan on page 5)
I can try.

To me, part of it came off as 'I am going to post, its not going to accomplish anything ... but it will show activity and not lurking.' But it doesn't help, it doesn't hinder ... its just kind of there. It came off as out of place to where the posts were. Over 1/2 of the players failed to post when this started and came off as misdirection, as if it was 'don't look at me for being scum, look over here.'

It just seemed off.

Also, I see a Haunter who should start posting now that he's actually in the game! laugh.gif

Either Rika tried to hit the mafia and failed, or she did the shorter version that hits four people randomly, and succeeded. I didn't see a declared swordtech target, so I'm tempted to believe that she's clean. Shiri unvoted initially in an attempt to get everybody else to do so to increase the odds of Rika hitting scum (which would put him in harm's way if he was scum)- giving yourself a 50% chance of dying isn't the smartest thing to do.

So, I'm not going to vote for Shiri unless my (or somebody else's) investigations bring up hard evidence that he is, in fact, scum. His actions a few pages ago tend to indicate that he's not the scum.
Unknown2009-12-10 17:15:01
Oh, thanks Silf. I remember reading that now and can see why I forgot. Dugan's looking a little odd to me, but I might be able to get behind voting Kira after this swordtech business.
Shiri2009-12-10 17:18:52
I'm not sure about Kira...the convenient horribly timed unvote looked like it could have been either a bad attempt at deflecting suspicion without actually sacrificing herself or just a mistake.

There's a PM out to Tervic asking if he'd like it. I'll go down the line if he declines/doesn't answer soon.

Gawd guys, I gotta wake up and catch up on the.... 8 pages that flew by while I was sleeping >_<

Shiri smells funny, but I need to get something warm to drink and refresh on a few pages before I make a final decision.

EDIT: Completely irrelevant to the game, so I don't feel bad about adding this, but Swordtech makes me think of CHARGIN MAH LAZOR!!!!

A mistake how? There's more than an hour and a half between Rika's power activation post and Kiradawea's unvote, so I'm personally inclined to believe the former. Unless you were referring to something else?

At least I tried. =(
Tervic2009-12-10 17:57:50
Out of curiosity, what's to stop Rika from spamming eight pages of posts of "blah! blah blah! I'ma Chargin Mah Lazor!" to artifically manipulate the power of her Swordtech?

Xavius and his modhammer, at his discretion.

Hrm, looking through the roles, it'd really suck for the town if Mog were one of the scums. A scum Mog gets invulnerability to:

-Relm (redirect)
-Setzer (identity probe)
-4 of Cyan's abilities

That's pretty damn powerful in my opinion. A town Mog gets immunity to the same, true, but there are only 2 scum, neither of whom are dependent on dice rolls for their kills. Someone posted "threat ratings" earlier in the thread, and listed Mog as "moderate threat" but I'd peg it as "large threat". Was there an argument against this?

Afternoon everyone, I've been asleep/catching up. Pretty much had a wtf reaction to Rika's attack, thought it was kind of funky tthat Kira just all of a sudden unvoted after she started the attack was kind of sketchy that.

Think Rika's attack was rather unnecessary at that point because not too many people were voting at that time.

Really dislike the timing of Kira's unvote.

Still trying to keep an eye on Shiri.
Dugan2009-12-10 18:42:00
Going to go back to my original vote of ....

VOTE: Kira

You've got two eyes, and with liberal application of the regeneration salve, you could keep three, even four eyes on Shiri!

But I've only got eyes for her, she should know that.

Query: Why the FoS on Kira? By unvoting, it puts her in the 'at-risk' pool, since if I understand the powers correctly, QuadraSlice/slam only hit 'non-voting' parties. I'd like some clarification on the logic, please.

For reference:

4: QuadraSlam 25% chance to kill each of four non-voting parties.
7: QuadraSlice 12.5% chance to kill each of four non-voting parties. Non-voting scum (or town, if scum-aligned) will always be included in this, and their kill rate is increased to 50%.

Although, Kira's no dummy and wouldn't willingly put herself at-risk unless there were a good reason for it.... suspicious.gif Well, would still like convincing since my brain is focused on phi29 DNA polymerase and the human genome at the moment, and not on Mafia.

Uh huh, I'm sure I could. Other peoples eyes would work just as well too. suspicious.gif
