That is confusing. Looking at your role info, I can only guess that it hit the 25% fail chance after it redirected at Setzer, and Mog got the protection due to his own power (beneficial outcome).

Actually, I think that part is pretty clear. If there's a % chance that Mog can receive anything beneficial, he will ALWAYS receive it, so the 25% chance is made moot if it is a desirable effect (functionally 100%). No?

I thought that only applied if the random chance ever fell to him (i.e. the protect would hit a random target, protect was beneficial, hence he got it), not that it affected all chance in a way that will always benefit him.

Xavius does. He "improved" my abilities, though I use that term loosely, and he also gave Casilu another power due to her flirting. Not sure either is really an "improvement", to be honest.

I think Dugan tried to target Kira for protection, and Vendetta tried to redirect targets away from Kira. Dugan's power is 'immunity to nightkills', and I think he was trying to save the aqua-rake since Shiri is le dead. So yeah, I'll bet what happened is Vendetta's chance redirect caused Dugan's targetted protection to go away from Kira to whoever is Mog, since there's the random % chance, and protection is beneficial. Thus, Mog was made immune to NK's, even though Dugan tried to guard Kira. Yeah... I think that's right.
Since it's where I was before, I'm down with a VOTE: ROMERTIEN.

This was actually addressed in an earlier post, but at this point, I don't want to give modly confirmation on anything that may or may not have happened at night. All such questions are now filed in the "should've asked earlier" folder.
