Ironbeard hates me

In fact, I think he must hate my IP or something because I've always gotten a visit once, max, no matter how often I'm on or what game I'm playing, and it's usually poisons/toxins. I've never really played a toxin/poison-dependent class

I have gotten NOTHING of worth while every single person that I hang out with has gotten showered in loot. DAMN YOU IRONBEARD!

I found one area like that once, got 8 gnomes at once... been wracking my brain trying to think of where else they might be collecting. D:

I still haven't found a single gnome... Are they only dropped when there's a specific message about it, or do they pop up at other times as well?

I never find a single one. I want to say its only when you see the 'jingle out of the sky' that they are released, but I could be wrong.

The gnomes seem to have disappeared. There's been like 1 wave in the last 10 hours

They're always very plentiful the first couple of days, and then once Christmas Eve hits they go scarce (about 50/50 for Christmas Day itself having a lot of them or having none).

My speculation is that it has something to do with the Administration being real people with real lives every now and then, so they're not always around to throw gnomes at us.

And/or the fun of flooding Lusternia with gnomes wears off after a day or two once they realize how many credits / dingbats they've poured into the game for free.

I've come to the conclusion that either the place Estarra spoke of has already been found or that it really is the Upper Havens.

A GOOD admin would just herd the gnomes out into the general areas, rather then leaving them there to be plundered.

Why do gnomes and Ironbeard think I like palettes?

I realize that I'm probably late to the party this year, since I've been inactive for quite a while, but how do I find Ironbeard? Is there anything I can do to encourage a visit? Last year I got no visits from him even though I played a lot then, and I found one gnome on the last day quite by accident. I see you folks still haven't lost your gnome-catching skills.

I'm going to have to be very lucky to even see a gnome again, I think. They seem to be gone within a minute, just like last year.
