Let's keep what's going on in-game, in-game.
Hazar2009-12-20 00:57:51
You checked my blackberry to see when I had events planned before launching this, didn't you? Bloody hell.
Eventru2009-12-20 01:18:17
Given the turn of the events, the thread has been renamed for your abusement.

snoop scuchidira staff
Carved from a single piece of ebony basalt, the staff radiates a heat so intense
the air in its immediate vicinity flickers visibly. Its surface is smooth and
flawless, utterly devoid of any decoration or adornments save for the two tips.
At the bottom one, the staff flares out slightly, becoming thicker and allowing
for a secure stand. Near the upper tip however, the staff splits into four
pieces of stone that fan out and wrap around a flaming sphere, holding it
securely in place. Shining a dark crimson, the sphere shifts continuously,
appearing more like a thick fluid barely contained in its current form. Flames
of bright red leap from the sphere every so often, making it the centre of a
fluid, ever changing dance.
It has 17 months of usefulness left.
It weighs about 10 pounds.
It bears the distinctive mark of Scuchidira Tliwx.

snoop scuchidira medallion
Glassy beads of obsidian and fiery rubies twist about themselves, strung through
with glistening threads of scarlet silk, composing the exotic Medallion of the
High Flame. Designed so that, when worn, twisting patterns would spiral outwards
from the wearer's heart, their black and scarlet gems coming together to mimic
the regal form of a drachou, encircling itself as it spirals inwards and through
its own looping form. The drachou's great fan-like wings sweep back from centre
of the medallion but from behind, framing and supporting the twisting body with
shimmering, butterfly-shaped wings of black, volcanic glass. Betwixt the wings
rests an eye composed of polished obsidian with a ruby centre, the gemstone cut
to mimic the vertical slit of a serpent's fiery gaze.
It weighs 10 ounce(s).
Scuchidira points her staff at Lehki, and the burning ball at its tip flares and
shoots a stream of liquid fire that blasts Lehki, scorching his flesh.

Heh, I was wondering if anyone would think that. This event has been planned for over a year and we were aiming for this date for a long time. It really alarmed me that MKO was opening this weekend. I had thought it would be open well before now, but we decided to forge ahead with our event nonetheless. Anyway, I even personally apologized to MKO's producer beforehand and apprised him our event was a coincidence and not meant to try and compete with MKO's opening. 'Nuff said!
Hey, for what it's worth, you ran a much nicer open beta than the people over at MKO. During your open beta, we complained about combat balance. It was bad, but there was combat to balance. They...don't have a full combat system yet (but said that it's been opened for stress testing the combat system), and somehow, no one in the closed beta noticed that basic NPC damage attacks don't lower the right stat. I think you really spoiled us on the idea that "beta" means "mostly working."
So, much belated kudos!

I was really considering killing her at that point. Wouldn't that have been a hoot. =D

Scuchidira brushes her fingertips across the face of the Golden Belt of the Enlightened, which begins to glow with a fiery light. A sudden, swirling morass of flames erupts from the mouth of the drachou upon her belt and consumes her entirely.

I was going to start a Judgment on her, but I figured I'd probably get hit by a 30-day TDF or something. Also it would be kind of a dick move.

Indeed, I now have the urge to move Ksilrinda from doing nothing in Glom to hopefully doing something in Hallifax.

Would have been totally worth it. I should have done it. Not like she did anything but run around with a foul temper yelling at people. ):

Credit must be given where credit is due.
Hallifax has enough suggestive room images to be subtly disturbing.
Gaudiguch is more overtly sinister and just as well done.
The Gaudiguch dracnari sand thing is very atmospheric as are the area emotes.
