Best episode of the show. Seriously.

You are technically correct, which as we all know, is the best kind of correct.

Guess that means we're building the Immolate construct when we're able to then.

You have no idea what the guardian skills look like though...

Phoenix-rebirth-by-fire resurrection? Spirit-of-wind-infusing-a-corpse resurrection? Gems-so-pretty-they-shock-you-back-to-life resurrection? Think of the realm of possibilities!

Paperwork?

Has anyone made a graphical map of Hallifax? I cannot figure out how this place is set up.

It's just a lot of up and down, and lots of repetitions of the same five-room shape (four corners and its center). It's desperately simple and repetitive and it just goes on and on and ON and ON and ON!. But when it's all done, it's got lots of nice multidirectional symmetries. And if I look at it in my zMUD map and hold down the button that goes from layer to layer of elevation, it looks like some kind of highly-symmetrical organism growing from a seed and then shrinking back in again.

I think walking around this city is going to drive me crazy. I've become too reliant on MAP =(
Rodngar2009-12-25 00:02:17
On the topic of 'doing silly things', that really just makes me more happy with Hallifax.

I believe Hallifax makes death look so unattractive by the way of the massive amount of paperwork needed that people rather stay alive.

As a coping mechanism, I wrote down/memorized about five vnums for rooms I frequently need to get to, and I just PATH FIND #.

That said, if you think Hallifax the city is crazy, you should see the Continuum.

So thunderbirds can't fly unless you have the ability of Beastmastery. Good thing crows from Druidry Totem can fly regardless... I guess it's apparent who are really masters of the air. Sometimes I wonder what the admin are on when they make these decisions.

For hallifax, your soul will be shown a mathmatical proof demonstrating that you cannot possibly be dead, therefore, for lack of available alternatives when accounting for known variables, you must be alive.

For Gaudi, you will realize that death is merely a state of mind, and that, the enlightened mind realizes that reality is in the eye of the beholder- you're only dead if you choose to be so.

Re: Silly things

Just for the record, it turns out I was docked due to the five-ten seconds that my auto-say was on from MUSH, not the smoking spam. tongue.gif
Genos2009-12-25 01:03:54
Honestly, I think the power cost for immolating people should be removed altogether. Every other game has a way to rezz someone by putting their corpse in something for free. It doesn't make much sense to me at all.

That is also jacked.

Every other game doesn't have power.

Yes but rezz skills in other games have costs of one sort or another. I think going to find someone corpse is enough work as it is, at least for novices. Maybe make it so players with Innocence don't cost power to immolate?
Rika2009-12-25 01:09:38
Players with innocence don't lose enough experience if they have to pray to really need immolation.
Kante2009-12-25 01:10:14
The immolation mechanic has been in the game for as long as I can remember, so it'll probably stay the exact same way it is for a long time.

If I remember correctly, not only do rezz skills not cost anything in Achaea, but resurrections help restore devotion.
