Dear Aeromancers, folding fans > air staffs.
Jelaludin has been a trill for a long time so I think I'm going to join Hallifax

Psh, crystallized lightning staff > dinky fan. I think it would be awesome for Hallifax monks to have steel fans though.

Monks shall never exist, NEVER!!!

That just proves you're a Aero at heart.
No, really, I need a warrior who actually knows how to fight so I don't look so bad being the only one.

I think that would make you look worse..

No, the enemy will actually get some wounds, so I can say I helped with that.
PS. We also need some monks.
Veyrzhul2009-12-25 22:42:35
Sometimes I think it may have been a mistake not to stay a monk, but then again, becoming a mage was really more the point of switching at all. And without the insta, it would take significantly longer to actually kill any buff people. Owell, I'm glad as is.

Our Nexus Keepers can't teach anyone. Grr.

Arte raises his staff and a blast of wind whips around you.
You are regaining balance and are unable to move.
Seems like they're not as OP as we first thought. (it does strip levitation if you have it though)

That seems like a bug honestly. I could see summon resistance blocking it, but eq? Doesn't really make sense.

The Hallifax quest being bugged makes me one sad panda. My buglist is already up to 15 just from the past few days since Hallifax was released.
Diamondais2009-12-26 07:53:22
Seriously hoping someone else gets induct privs soon, this is silly. But going away for a few days without internet now, so will be a few days anyways!
Doman2009-12-26 17:43:37
well, there goes any urge I had to play today.

I'm just irritated that Vathael killed my thunderbird. I finally got the damn thing above level one.

Die you oppressive Hallifaxian.....

It only just occured to me that Celest has been screwed over yet again, with their (at least so far as how it SHOULD be) main race being incredibly weak to both the new mage classes. Fantastic.

The dracnari are weak to aquamancers. Trill are resistant, but you might be able to make puppydog eyes and ask for a lucidian weakness to cold.
Rika2009-12-26 19:23:23
What's the damage type distribution of the fire staff? I was told the Aero staff is 50% electricity, 50% cold.
Xavius2009-12-26 19:24:42
Syntax: PYROCAST STAFF
Power: 10 (Eternal Flame)
Uses: POINT STAFF
WHIRL STAFF
RAISE STAFF
TWIRL STAFF
Damage Type: 75% Fire, 25% Asphyxiation (point staff)
Damage Source: Magical
The ultimate weapon of the pyromancer is a staff created from elemental fire. By wielding the staff you may POINT STAFF at a target and shoot a stream of fire at your target. You can RAISE STAFF to burn away an ailment. With WHIRL STAFF, you can reveal anyone hiding in your location. Finally, by TWIRL STAFF you can fan the flames in your location, and all enemies who are ablaze will suffer increased damage as well as an increase in their burn levels. The power cost will be significantly less if cast on the Elemental Plane of Fire.

It appears we can't actually get the skills since no one can welcome/induct.
