So.. now that both cities have got 200k power, can we get a general idea of what the process/timeframe for getting new guilds will be? Just so we aren't left waiting for ages for nothing.
Xavius2010-01-15 04:32:42
And if warriors are already done and guardians will just plain take longer!

I said before that at a minimum, it would be the end of February. But it could possibly be longer and we'll keep you updated.
That said, congratulations to the new cities for accumulating so much power so fast! Wowza!
Rodngar2010-01-15 06:26:24
Is that assuming you start this moment - as in, as I'm typing this? Also, out of curiosity, are the population levels of both cities meeting/exceeding your expectations?
Unknown2010-01-15 06:34:51
It's not assuming anything. I'm positive they've already started - you don't just design, code and test two new major skillsets in a month. They need to finish things up and figure out when/how to introduce the new guilds, once they're done with ascension madness.
I think it's funny how "doing the warriors first would be easier" has become an almost universally accept piece of wisdom, despite the admins having given no indication that this is the case. Just be patient. By the time summer rolls around all the guild will be out and populated and you'll all be complaining about how boring Lusternia is again

Except 2 > 1, so 2 skillsets will be more work than 1 skillset.

Which is based purely off the assumption that they are not done yet and, in the case they are not completed, you could do one without the other.
I would also be lmao'ing if the new warrior guilds came with new weapons invalidating all of these types of comments
Ryleth2010-01-15 08:48:31
Also any higher tier warrior tertiary skillset, (Necromancy etc.) has to be desgined in tandem with the guardians primary skillset, otherwise they are going to be hopelessly unbalenced. So choosing warrior isn't going to be necessarily faster
Unknown2010-01-15 13:07:56
You're also assuming there won't be any new weapon specializations (which I feel is a fair assumption, but still...).

Boo at more weapon specs. Boo!*
* Said from a purely envoy viewpoint.

I really would leave to see a sword and board spec for warrior.

I want to see a spear and net (gladiator) style.

Estarra asked me to make this announcement so the bickering would stop:
Gaudiguch warriors will get a custom weapon called a bong, it's basically a long hollow tube. It doubles as a blunt weapon and allows you to exhale clouds of poisonous gass at your enemies.
Hallifax warriors will get to dual wield a gavel and sound block. They will get a special ability called 'decree' by which they can call down Avechna to deliver justice upon their enemies once per day.

Thereby folding time about themselves, preventing the cities from ever having been released. As the time paradox manifests, both cities will simultaneously exist and not exist, giving all of the Gaudiguch warriors monstrous migraines from contemplating their new situation.
Hallifax will thereafter be called 'The Buzzkill'. Unfortunately, due to this now ability, people will simultaneously remember and not remember this, so the joke will only get half a laugh.

In regards to the bong, I am highly highly disappointed that the epic item for Gaudiguch was not a bong. Instead it is a golden belt that so far has no relation to anything we have seen in Gaudiguch.
A bong however could easily and awesomely been explained.
Taking a long puff off of a golden bong you feel your mind opening to infinite possibilities as your spirit transcends the physical and you reach true enlightenment.
The Chamber of Enlightenment.
You see exits leading.....
Consider this my petition to have our epic item changed.
please?

I support this idea/resolution, so long as this epic item requires weed to work.
