Let's try to keep this civil, ladies. Artifact armor I think would be a great marketing idea for Lusternia and I am certain a lot of people would buy into it, I would for sure.
Artifact Greatrobes - Stats 70/70 can have all 4 proofings put on them.
Artifact Splendours - Stats 80/80 can have all 4 proofings put on them. (Must have and keep trans tailoring to be able to wear.)
Artifact Plate - Stats 95/95 can have 2 proofings put on them.
Artifact Fullplate - Stats 105/105 can have 2 proofings put on them. (Must have and keep trans Forging to be able to wear.)
Thoughts? Ideas? Adjustments? Values on plate decreased a little due to the fact that they can have runes put on them to increase their effect further.

I'd buy, though I'm not sure about the "have to keep trans forging" to wear since that's not how fullplate works atm. Or splendors. Having to keep Knighthood is a requirement for being able to wear either of the plates though (just as it is for the current fullplate).
And maybe 65/65 for the artifact greatrobes, 75/75 for the artifact splendors? Being able to put 4 proofings on normal robes would be a huge buff. Artifact splendors could maaaybe use some other minor enhancement. Maybe. Depending on price.
Vathael2009-12-25 20:50:30
If we want to reduce the value of robes, let's get a skill made that adds +7 to cut/blunt on robes. Glyphs or something.

Details, details. The fundamental idea would be a good one, being able to get non-decay resetting armour would be amazing.
And I'm sure a ton of people would go for it! Good way to burn credits out of the economy for (hopefully) not much coding work.

Also make it so the plates don't need to be repaired.

To this, I don't really approve of it being this way which is why I made that statement. I thought it was kind of silly having someone in pre-nerf fullplate with trans poisons walking around.

Speaking as a Knight, I do approve of it being this way. That, or let us buy a second skillset. I will buy forging, too.
Either way-- nondecay resetting armour is an "Omg, yes, please!" Details past that can also be beneficial.

On the topic...why can you make customized fullplate for free, but not customized splendours?
Genos2009-12-25 21:41:40
I think they should come out with Armour Runes instead of actual pieces of armour to be more in line with the rest of the artifacts.

I'm guessing that they can be customised with description, but not with permanence or resetting. I also believe fullplates already are permanent, which is the reason they can also customise it with resetting (resetting always comes with permanence, but not the other way around).
Splendors would likely count as a forged item (even though it technically isn't, it provides armor just like forged items) which is why it wouldn't be able to be customised with permanence, and thus also no resetting.

You cannot give resetting to fullplate. It is non-decay, but it cannot be flagged as resetting.

You also don't have to be a tailor to wear splendours, currently. If tailoring and forging aren't requirements for the artifact versions of splendours and fullplates, then there's little point in having artifact versions of greatrobes and plate.
As for the whole idea, I'd personally prefer if you could freely distribute armour points within certain limits. Such as, the plate is 85/85 base and you have 20 points to distribute. It would probably be necessary to limit artifact armour to one piece per person then, though. Maybe customizing proofings would be a nice option, too, and could include more damage types. Such as having 80 points of total dmp to distribute. That way, you could make up for racial weaknesses somewhat.

I like this idea.

I'd love artifact armor, but I prefer to have attachable runes to simply buying a suit.

How is this necessary? Damage kills are nigh impossible as things stand anyway - giving the most difficult to kill players additional DMP hardly seems like it would improve the combat situation in Lusternia. It would just be making our demigod masters even more untouchable.

Doesn't really give a whole lot of extra DMP, actually (you can get the proofings on other things). But you're paying money for non-decay and resetting things, which you can't currently get on armour.

If a damage kill is nigh impossible with whatever class you are now, you probably shouldn't be going for a damage kill.

I would just fear the impact of moving top tier fully artied out combat even higher than middle of the road 1000cr invested combat.
What if it just made the item non-decay and resetting?

Why would a warrior care about non-decay? I already have a 50% reserve investment to make my armor non-decay.
