I don't recall ever saying "you're doing it wrong" but in either case it is more along the lines of you should find another way to try that. smile.gif I comment on combat during combat all the time. "You should do this instead of this." "That's not going to kill me, try this." I'm sorry your wittle feelings get hurt with constructive criticism little doman.

There's only so much you can do to improve when you don't have nearly enough people with the necessary abilities. Having a working system is also a barrier to entry but not as important a one (doesn't cost $$ to make one, and there's always treant).

As far as RP, Hallifax has gone out of its way to keep everyone from getting angry with it. Gaudi's attacks are universally unprovoked and based purely on "we are your opposite diediedie". Munsia may not "be Gaudiguch", but as its loudest and most visible member, we all naturally base our perception of it on her and her cohorts.
Zalandrus2010-01-03 23:53:50
Gaudi does have a reason to attack Hallifax. Not one that makes sense purely based on current players' RPs, but Scuchi called for the utter destruction of Halli, for goodness sakes. If anything, the Gaudians (hehe) attacking Hallifax might be seen as strongly aligning themselves with their new city's RP.

I'm not sure about complaints of raiding on elemental/cosmic, but nobody should really be allowed to just waltz into a nexus room on prime and camp out, killing everybody who comes along. I've always thought of the prime nexus as being a gathering place for the city, including the young; if you're taking that away and making people feel discouraged, then yea, that does hamper the culture of the city, and should be stopped.
Rodngar2010-01-04 00:04:04
I don't really think 'destruction of Hallifax' is the only way to pursue the RP of Gaudiguch.

Nobody has camped the prime nexus, what. They have avenger for those sorts of things.

Vathael, are you griefing Hallifax?

Furien2010-01-04 00:11:56
Reflecting on what I know of the histories, I never really understood what made the two cities so hostile. They were part of the same Empire, historically, but somehow they went aggro and Project Paradox'd one another. But I don't see what could push them so close to bloodshed. In fact, most of the excerpts I've seen (Scuchi setting the Hallifaxian Ambassador's robe on fire, for example) seemed almost childish/silly in nature.

Maybe the Guardian guilds will reveal a darker side to the two organizations... they seem to have that potential.

Ah, memories. Silly Hallifax. What makes you think you've earned the right to do anything but PK 24/7 yet? Why, back in my days, when we released an org, you logged on, threw yourself at the endless horde until you couldn't take anymore, logged off, got a little tipsy, then did it some more.

Heh, sorry. I gotta grab this out. You mean 'Munsia and Narsrim' as the 'Endless Horde' ? Just like now, it's 1-3 people....back then it was 1-3 people

@Azoth, I think you're wrong about who people base me on...you got the order mixed up. Also, the one who just runs around killing freshman novices, and both cities npc's....you don't really have a voice in the matter tongue.gif

edit2: On the subject of Guards. Now I understand they don't want us pounding people into the ground, but honestly, they have an smob 1 room up from their nexus...it's kinda hard to camp that room, so we camp their nexus. Especially since -all- of their mobs up there track...you have drag them out of the opal's room to kill them (This might be a bug...? Cause I know they are there to 'Guard' the Opal..)
Rodngar2010-01-04 00:26:32
Geographical oversights should really not be giving you license to camp Continuum's Matrix room. However, I agree it's pretty goddamn lame that we have a 3k+? hitting SMob 1 room up from our Matrix. sad.gif

3k...where the hell did you get that number? It instantly killed Vathael the one time, I think. Smob means 5-6k

edit: Also we camp nexus on air because SOMEONE turned up the flush rate on Air/Fire...it takes 50 tries to get where you wanna go, it's bleeding annoying.
Rika2010-01-04 00:28:39
Spheres aren't aggro, so how is it hard to camp that room?

It's not the spheres it's the polygon's that track everywhere. One runs in, we need to kill it because of the passive hindering. So we have to move rooms just to kill it.

It's called "Mini Mag" for a reason.

Just wait until Thoros, Shikha and who knows how many others come back.

It'll just be like good old times.

Right, constructive.

Half cost physical guards would do, or whatever it was Xenthos suggested would be fine as well. Camping at the nexus is pretty lame.
Munsia2010-01-04 00:38:16
Rereading over previous posts, which I'm still catching up on.

Yes, Munsy LOVES to pvp...seriously that's why I play this game. The facet is there for a reason. Now, I'm not attacking without a reason. I'm not that retarded. No, Scuchi claims that Hallifax enslaved Gaudiguch, and has even gone so far as to request Cririk's head on a pike. When we first joined, Scuchi said something along the lines of 'Burn all those crystal freaks.'

If you're going to call me out for 'just doing what I want' at least get the facts behind it.
In any case, quite a few of us are HUGELY amused that this is all pointed at Munsia. The difference is, Munsia is the one who says something about it, but I assure you. Only 40% of these raids have been my idea. The rest, I come along with because I love seeing the people I hate die.

Just be lucky they didn't bring a tracker or else they could set up a tent and everything.

The number isn't as important as who it is and who persistent is. 1-3 people can screw up other people's fun, as Azoth has demonstrated (a Celest newb logged off yesterday basically saying "If I'm going to be picked off for no reason, I'm just not gonna spend as much time online", and I'm not exaggerating)

I agree, but Azoth killed a newbie on prime, for no real reason. We raided a plane, that noone had to defend, if they didn't want to. You defending it, was an RP choice, and a decision made by the player. As glom has demonstrated in the past, and most other org's..there's a point where you just stop bothering, because yer sick of dying.

Edit: You lose nothing by leaving us alone, currently, from what I'm told. No power, and your lords have no sands.

Hallifax actually has 3 sands. Their essence's worth 4.
