The sad thing is, I've repeatedly gotten Faxes from Doman&friends asking why we're raiding, as they aren't. It's obvious that Halli doesn't much care to fight.
Halli raided Vortex . Walked right into the city, transversed elemental, transversed cosmic...melded..
But ya, Elemental guards are crap and not gonna deter me, for sure. It's like ripple on cosmic. It sucks, it's annoying, but it's not gonna stop me

Hey, if you keep complaining about divine-mandated politics deliberately setting up orgs to be a foil for one another, eventually they're going to make some ridiculous quest/counterquest that forces all existing alliances to be reversed for no apparent reason and throw the entire game out of whack for months. So take your "we hate you!" pills like nice kiddies, the alternative turns out to be far worse!
Rodngar2010-01-04 06:45:28
Hallifax has a small population for fighters. Don't refer to them collectively as not liking fighting. :/

If anything, that makes things worse for the (larger group of) non-coms, since the combatants will aggravate the superior opposing force, and when the inevitable reprisal occurs the non-coms will be the ones who bear the brunt of the aggression, being less able to defend themselves.

But does that really make me heartless?! It was ferocious looking and put up quite the battle!
It was level 2

Pretty much. Some non-coms are willing to try defending territory, but like I said earlier it can be rather discouraging to try, only to be screamed at.

Anyone want to put money on those raids stopping if Gaudileader says to? I'd wager the Cartman org won't even feel the speedbump.
This thread almost delivered, but then it fell short. Sort of like Shuyin's first job as a pizza boy.

It's called "Mini Mag" for a reason.
Just wait until Thoros, Shikha and who knows how many others come back.
It'll just be like good old times.

Oh it's a mini mag? Why didn't you say so?! Does that mean I can join and go on an 18 hour raid, meld your whole city and break every door in the place? How about stealing all your comms and killing every denizen on your cosmic/elemental planes with 5 people or less?
The good old days are gone and will never come back.

If you wanted to, and Glom didn't intervene... yes, you could.
Daganev2010-01-05 01:28:42
It might be a bit too late now, but how about sending halifax and gaudi into an modified "time bubbles" again, and make it so that people can't kill things while inside the city or planes? (excpet for the required quests ofcourse)
I.e. just turn off conflict all together until they are up on their feet a bit. Let the attacks on the city come later.

Then you have issues with their few combatants being able to 'consequence-free' raid other orgs.
Doman2010-01-05 01:32:38
yeah, 0 combat is a bit excessive, just a bit of automated defense. How about putting a big Aetherturret at the Matrix. That would work nice.

My reference to 'good old days' wasn't meant to mean 'stone age'.

Clearly, the game ceased to be fun the day that trans jewelers stopped being able to singlehandedly decimate groups.

I'm surprised that the issue of defenses wasn't settled before the orgs opened. G calls for the complete destruction of H, H has no defenses, and the raiding gets out of hand. Did anyone not see that one coming?

Raiding still has not gotten out of hand.

Mirami2010-01-05 04:04:00
Pretty sure that camping nexuses and ganking defenders as they arrive is the 'out of hand' in question.
