Not sure where your getting your info. But Celest is pretty happy right now as a whole, got a bunch of people that did nothing to leave, doing very well at defending during regular hours. I'm having alot of fun.

And guild segregation? Such a thing is not even possible. One guild is dead except for two very good people. But they are certainly not planning segregation! You know nothing of Celest! Ha! laugh.gif

Yeaaaaah. Five orgs hating you, four orgs raiding you. 1/4th of the playerbase ousted, 1/4th having left and 1/4th considering leaving (most of which are people that'd much rather play in Celest than any other org). One guild planning segregation and Celestia being turned into a bloody field with fossils and gravestones in every room. Do tell me how that's going to work out for you.

At least you guys finally proved what a year of events could not. That the administrators truly don't care a cent about how Celest fares. tongue.gif

Seren doesn't hate us, Gaudiguch only raids us because Vathael is a Fainite and starts crap, and Munsia likes to raid people. Hallifax makes friendly with us, Glom fights Magnaguch more than they fight us.

1/4 thought they should be allowed to (hunt with enemies)(changes laws to suit them)(call an Elder God a liar to his face) and got kicked out. Power pulls power, so people are going to Gaudiguch to fight alongside Vathael/do whatever they want.

I won't lie, Celest is a sinking ship. But when I see Hallifax citizens fighting alongside Gaudiguch because "Oh we're friends now" then I'd rather right on the side of the city who actually -tries- to hold to rp.

EDIT:

I mean, hell. I can remember a time when I would constantly wake up as Shaddus, hear over the city aether "Malicia/Narsrim/Veyrhul/Talkan/Nydekion are on Nil, it's melded and three demon lords are dead." Celest has been down for a while, and it's just getting worse. When the flesh is infected, sometimes you have to do some cutting and let it heal, ragged though it may be.

So I'm just curious on the general consensus of which Guilds the seperate cities want next? It'd be interesting to see Gaudi get warriors and Halli guardians or vice versa next. But just what you guys think? Personally I think warrior is the more intelligent choice from an OOC administrative standpoint for many reasons mentioned before by others.

Where do you get that? From an OOC standpoint, warriors can come from anywhere, and all of them have essentially the same skills. Guardians are all different, require a nexus to function, and bring along the ability to use cosmic discretionaries.

Wow, someone's butthurt. (PS. Gravestones = dead raiders)

Or dead allies, if you're pulling a Talkan.

I'm rather curious as to what guild is planning segregation.

I'd say Tahtetso. A very large portion of Celest has never really accepted them.

A large portion of Celest could care less about Lumosis or whatever, that's old news tongue.gif

Hell, they should have seceded when I was GM. I didn't know that was an option.
Eldanien2010-01-29 01:44:50
If it's the Tahtetso, it's news to me...

If true, however, it's not the first time secession has come up. The Aquamancers talked secession for a long time, back in the day. I'm not sure the Admins would let it happen... or let it stay that way for long, at any rate. Could be a fun RP environment though, to shake things up and see what comes loose. Think witch hunt.

Well, maybe after Celest builds up a bit more. If there's going to be a fall, you should put some height into it.

As much as I dearly want Templars, at the end of the day all a knight is missing out on is their tertiary. Knighthood/weapon prime and Athletics are still intact. But we've got people sitting around with novice skills or worse waiting on guardians to come out, and I have to ask myself, how long can it hold their interest when they're in such a state?

Probably healthier for citizen retention to release guardians.

...which is why I really, really hope that there isn't much of a gap between the second and third guilds' release dates.

They should release them at the same time. That way it would help with the sudden influx of newbies that the cities are going to have. Plus it would solve this whole debate. Especially since all Warriors are going to get is a Tertiary from the Guardians. There is a huge gap between the Guardian and Warrior skills that I don't think that it will be a big political upheaval.

Eeeeexcept, I'm not Celestian. Never have been either. Just commenting on the sight of Gaudiguchans, Serenwilders, Magnagorans and Glomdorians on Celestia. In all my time, I've never seen any org attain that high a level of enmity.
Doman2010-01-29 20:58:08
Gaudiguch is Mag 2.0. Vathael still acts like a mag completely.

Magnagora is their normal enemy, and Glomdoring is their bipolar girlfriend, in an abusive spell.
Shamarah2010-01-29 20:59:03
Gaudiguch is basically a Magnagoran village that doesn't revolt.

These. Gaudiguch's "free to do whatever I want" paired with Magnagora's "Kill angels" has combined to form CAPTAIN GRIEFHELMET.

Gaudi doesn't care because their citizens have no real belief structure. If someone from Celest who griefed Magnagora had moved to Gaudi, maybe it would be different. Maybe not. Seriously, I was told yesterday that "Gaudiguch and Hallifax are making amends". ........WHAT.

The fact that so many Celestialism users are now in Gaudiguch and could care less if Vathael, Munsia, and Layne kill angels just makes me sad. sad.gif
Daereth2010-01-29 21:39:18
The obvious choice is that Celest become the offical boot shiners of Hallifax. Thus saving their entire structure and lessening the griefage. In return for this, we will not help the remaining five orgs raid Celestia.

Lol. You already help defend Celestia. See:Veyrzhul. Ayden is up there quite often influencing guards, and I'm always helping Doman with stuff. We just need to reach through Hallifax to Glomdoring.
