I have no idea what complexities of code this would require, but it would be nice if there were some way to denote for which statuses fines have been set when looking at STAT.

That's what DIPLOMACY is for! There should be a summary display one can bring up, though, to show all your enemy statuses and fines.

No one likes to use diplomacy though. I've actually had people tell me that they'll take a fine, but they flat out refuse to take it through diplomacy, and I have to hand it to them in person.
Kaia2011-02-27 05:39:07
I don't mind going to the hall to pay fines, it's just a matter of convenience (read: laziness) when I'm elsewhere. A summary, even, would be fabulous. I actually love the diplomacy system, as a whole.
Unknown2011-02-27 06:04:47
People who are too lazy or whatever to pay a fine at the Hall of Records are a whole other matter, and that's their problem, really.
Kaia2011-02-27 06:40:15
Ha, yeah..really no reason that going to the plex and moving a handful of rooms should be too difficult.

I second this.

Have suggested it before, but it would be really nice if you got a message about which bug is being updated while you're offline, instead of just a non-specific "One or more of your bugs have been updated." Usually have to read through half of them to figure out which one was updated, if I even can figure it out.
Unknown2011-02-27 19:50:40
Semi-related to that: I'd like to be notified when my envoy report or one I've commented on gets updated. It's a little tedious to have to re-check them.

Have an event where Hallifax creates a weather machine. A council member may set it to sunny, cloudy, rainy, or blizzard and it will only affect the city of Hallifax and perhaps a few rooms surrounding it. Whenever the weather changes, there's a small local emote in the areas affected.

Could post this to the plots board too!

Dude, that's not Institute at all. If anything, I was totally thinking this would go Aeromancer. But hey, if you want it to go Institute...

Have to agree, how would weather control be Institute? They can go build a time machine, where it can be timey whimey and the sentences can get away from them.

Doctor Who reference for the win.
Daraius2011-02-27 22:52:39
The Aeromancers already have some kind of weather machine, don't they?
Lendren2011-02-27 22:56:02
Yeah, that would definitely be an Aeromancer thing, but as was previously noted, the weather code is so hairy this is unlikely to happen.

If the Institute gets a weather machine, I will throw a :censor: fit.

myeah, that was more of a sarcastic reference to previous claims that the institute is why the city floats...
