I'd like to see the ability to seal letters. Not magically or anything like that, just with a simple wax dripping or some other such device that could be broken with a simple BREAK SEAL. I think it could be a cool little utility/RP thing so that you can ensure that the top-secret blood muffin recipe hasn't been read by another, or confidential letters could appear as such. Plus...this opens up the possibility of personally designed signet rings!

I demand special magic traps.
Ones that pop off at someone opening a door, or sets off an alarm, like a high pitched whistle. Just some neat flavour things, or mild traps to make people freak out. There are reasons you don't touch a wizard's laboratory door.
I also demand a trap that shoots out a hamster with its head on fire, and makes a horrible, horrible screeching noise that causes fear at you.

Programmed illusions and magicmouths?

But they don't last long, and it'd be annoying to constantly have to go back and redo them.
And not everyone is an illusionist and can always have an illusionist at hand.

Idea: Either remove the powerdrain upon death off-plane for Demis with Conglutinate, or give Conglutinate some effect at all (such as lower essence cost for dying off-plane). It was deemed not a bug.

Conglutinate makes Demis lose less essence when they Phoenix.
For Ascendants it has no effect at all.

Really? I've always lost the full 50k on Phoenix when I died off-plane.
EDIT: Oh, wait... It's 100k off-plane. 50k is in home city. Problem solved then *cough*

You lose 50k flat for the death, period (unless you heartstop in which case it's 100k). Then you lose a further 150k if you type in Phoenix off-Prime, 350k if you do on-Prime.

Hmm. The helpfile says 50k in home city, 100k off-prime and 250k on prime. I've always lost 50k when phoenixing off-prime though, I just confused off-prime cost with home-territory cost.
EDIT: That's all for phoenixing though, of course. Deaths have always been an additional 50k for me.

Ah, so the numbers are a bit lower than I thought. The difference in Phoenix costs in Prime vs. nonPrime is supposed to reflect Conglutination though.

Eventru has returned from registration.
Remove this, please. Especially since when you register an alt and come out in like 3 seconds, people know it's an alt.
Ssaliss2010-09-19 18:08:24
Eventru is your alt? It all makes sense now!
Seriously though, I'd prefer it there. Nothing is as annoying as a newbie going into registration in the middle of talking with you, and being told when they return is quite helpful when the alternative is having to QL every five seconds. If you're worried about it revealing alts... well, there's always the option of registering somewhere out-of-the-way and not in portals/a nexus.

This isn't for me, this is for when I have that "Ohh, a newbie is here!" moment, and then when they register in front of me and it takes all of three seconds, I die a little inside because I know they won't stick around long.
And no, Eventru isn't my alt. Isune is. >.>

I still feel that these things should be designed around the true newbies and not around alts. I might be a bit too much of an idealist though, I dunno...

So you'd rather find out later when they abandon you after you poured time into them, rather than getting a little advance warning?

Can we have a HERMIT command that makes you not show up on CW/GW/QW/FW/CLW/NEWBIEWHO/CGW/WHO/The websites/WHO HERE?
Sometimes I just wanna lurk the family channels without getting mobbed by people complaining about Celest stuff.
