Wouldn't that being the same as saying to two different people that you are their best friend? Shame on you for lying to friends. nono.gif

It's a pipedream that will never happen. I'm not asking for it to. I am just lamenting. laugh.gif

Essentially, it's taking one of the aspects of the game that is pretty much centered on RP, and turning it into another metagame OOC reward mechanism.

Oh God I hope you didn't take me too seriously. blush.gif I didn't mean to draw this out into an actual dialogue on the matter, I'm fully aware this would kill the fun of Orders by making people half-censor.gif them even more.

It doesn't make sense though, especially the two divine you want who actually have incompatible ideals. It might make sense maybe for being able to join the outer circle of an allied god (godfeelings wise ally not same org) but for the rest one would assume your devotion cancels out any other possible god.

Logic belongs in Hallifax not on forums.

I like this statement.

Could there be a 'greathunt score brief' or something that only shows your bracket? The display as is is kind of big.
Unknown2010-11-25 05:36:56
Hrm, how about GREATHUNT SCORE for personal score only, while GREATHUNT RANKING is for your own bracket, while GREATHUNT RANKINGS for the current display?

I guess that's just a very long way of saying I agree with Talan. Took me forever to find my own greathunt score with the current display.

Hey, here's a simple idea! Let Fire and Air spawn Manifestations.

Can the Moon/Nightspirit logs show when Ladies/Daughters get summoned, please?

If a certain number of manifestations is good enough for 4 organizations, clearly it is good enough for 6!

(It would really be nice if there was an extra on Air, Fire, and then another 2 or so put in other places somewhere, to keep the ratio relatively even)
Ircria2010-11-25 21:08:42
Allow Conglutinate to be turned on and off. So many aetherhunts ruined that way...

Agree. One "freebie" manifestation for each org would be a great thing.

Put them on astral.

Simple idea to create more use for the other armor types. Can the ability to wear certain types of armor be limited to your guild rank as well?

This way, you won't have a page running around in a full blown plate-mail. It would maybe facilitate RP a bit better..

So that would only effect warrior guilds? All the other guilds would still just go robes because there really wouldn't be anything else for them to use at lower ranks in some of the guilds.

I dislike the idea, so this is definitely not in the defence of it, but fairly certain all the guilds except mages can wear leathers. Guardians can even wear chain, or unless this has been changed for some reason, they used to be.
Sakr2010-11-26 01:56:40
Yes @Casilu

Guardians can wear chains, yet the sane choice seems to go for robes. Wouldn't it be a bit more rp worthy if a person had to go through the steps of wearing different armor types till they mature and can wear the higher class defenses?
Ileein2010-11-26 01:58:07
No. Different ranks mean different things in different guilds, and it doesn't always make sense to compare GR3 in the Templars to GR3 in the Sentinels or Paladins or Ur'guard, necessarily.

I do too, but think of it this way: warrior guilds are affected the most. Mage guilds aren't affected at all since they only have one level of armor. Bad idea, still.
Diamondais2010-11-26 02:04:53
The climb to be able to properly enter combat is already fairly steep for a new player, adding in needing a guild rank to wear certain armour types is just not very good. Yes, the extra armour types (leather, scale, chain) do need looking at to make them more appealing, but I don't think this is the route we'd want to go towards.
Lilia2010-11-26 02:44:32
I like the idea of needing to wear lesser armours at first and needing to work your way up. Guild rank is not the way to do it, however. Maybe some sort of proficiency, which is increased when the armor is used, i.e. when you get hit. You need a certain level of proficiency to be able to wear each type of armor. It would probably be best if this is the only effect armor proficiency has, increasing the effectiveness of armor wouldn't really make sense. The idea behind this would be the need to learn how to manover in armor. If some kid straight of the Portal puts on a suit of full plate, he's not going to be able to take a step, much less swing a sword. You've got to slowly build up your strength.
Casilu2010-11-26 02:48:05
We already have a system for that. We call it 'cost'.

Except you earn so much gold in Newton you can easily afford greatrobes. Not sure what the costs of plate and such are, though, but Newton nets 25k gold or something on average?
