Tekora, you're awful close to Mirami there. Any reason why you're so quick to jump on the bandwagon?

So you basically cast blame on someone to see if others would vote for them, but waited for your vote until someone else voted?
Xavius2010-03-03 02:28:53
No, I did mean that without power, you have no food or water. It's a space ship. You think you have food without refrigeration? Water without pumps and purifiers? Heck, air without pumps and purifiers? Do you think you can loot the corner convenience store for Evian and Doritos? It was actually a major plot point in one of the early episodes of the new Stargate series.
The mod doesn't care, though. These votes seem to just be for flavor to decide how we're all going to die.

When I started posting tonight, it was my full intention to vote for whoever was the lowest poster so far and get people to start playing. Those are Xavius and Gleip. I FOS'd them because 'I can't vote for both of them'. Then when Vendetta and Romertien decided on going after Xavius instead of Gleip, I then threw my weight behind the pressure, as I fully intended to do in the first place.
Now back off before I point out how suspicious it is that you're going after me for trying to get people motivated before a deadline starts and we're forced to make a snap judgement that will likely result in another townie lynch.
Mirami2010-03-03 02:46:27
wait, we're on a ship? I thought we could be planet-side in a base or something like that, too.

That was my assumption, but I've heard the phrase 'Earth Ship' thrown around. Could be either.

This is actually a solid point of confusion for me. I didn't come into this situation with much of any information of where we were, or what had happened, apart from what was immediately observable in my surroundings.
I keep hearing we went back in time. What else do other people know about the situation?

Now you're trying to intimidate me into not finding you suspicious? I thought the idea was to look at things and decide whether they are suspicious or not. Not only that, but you say that if I keep looking at you, you'll "force the group to lynch a townie". If what you were doing wasn't suspect, you wouldn't react so badly about it. So one of two things occurs to me:
Either
1: You're mafia, you know Xavius isn't and you're trying to get an easy lynch because Xavius always seems scummy.
2:You aren't mafia and are still banking on Xavius possibly being scummy. This isn't a scummy action in and of itself, but could go bad if Xavius is a townie. Since he's not really done anything scummy but not be around, and you've already made it clear you don't mind sacrificing townies to achieve whatever goals you have, this is a bad thing.
There's always the chance of "Tekora is scum and Xavius is scum, and Tekora is using Xavius' inactivity to distance himself by sacrificing Xavius" but I don't see that.
Yeah. How about no.

Up until just tonight, we had no one posting and no lines of discussion going. At all. If this had been allowed to continue, Xikue would have set a 24-hour deadline, and one of two things would have happened. We either would have scrambled to find someone to lynch, just for the sake of lynching someone, or we would have gone No Lynch on Day 2, and allowed the Mafia to gain more of a foothold than they already have.

What I'm doing is the ONLY LINE OF ACTION that we have going right now. Before I posted tonight, the game had Zero momentum and was well on its way to the Deadline scenario that I outlined above. That scenario is exactly what the Scum want to happen, because it will most likely result in them getting at least 2 more dead townies and the town STILL won't have any real info going into Day 3 and they'll still be spinning in circles discussing Time Travel and whether they're on a ship or a base, and the Scum will keep picking them off one by one.
The fact that you're going for my throat for being the only townie with the initiative to start a productive line of discussion tells me that you DON'T want the townies to gain momentum and you want to get rid of me, probably because you believe that if you take me out, that the townies will lose their motivation and quietly roll over as the Scum continue to pick them off 1 and 2 at a time.
And I can't think of any Pro-town role that would want that to happen.

Maybe I misinterpreted this, but I doubt it.
Although I agree that a deadline would have been a bad idea, I also don't see lynching someone merely because they haven't voted much. People who can't get online very much /=/ auto-mafia. You're basically saying, "I don't care who we lynch, let's just get the ball rolling.". I don't know how many mafia members we're dealing with, but it's got to be less than the town, and thus, the chances of randomly lynching a townie is much more than lynching a mafia. I'd prefer to stay away from the random factor, kthx.

First off, this whole series is a fantastic OMGUS and modified WIFoM speech. Bravo. I don't want any townies to get lynched, you basically want to lynch someone, anyone. Who is in the right here?
I'm not going for your throat because you want to get the ball rolling. To the contrary, I agree that arguing "where are we and are we on a ship/planet/alien laboratory" is neither productive nor what we need right now. But saying, "Hey, these two aren't very active, let's see what happens if we lynch them and hope we get a mafia!" isn't a good idea. Not only that, but you threw these two out in front of the torch bearing mob, so to speak, and waited to vote on whoever everyone else is voting for. You might just be trying to get the ball rolling, but it also looks like you're just trying to fit in with the crowd, which is definately scummy.
Your move, sunshine.

Oddly enough, Xavius doesn't appear too interested in defending himself on this count so much as clarifying what he meant with the food and power comment. I'm not sure what else to think other that whenever we do get an option, he's probably right in thinking it's just how we pick our next flavour of death.
