That vote was back when I was still playing jokingly and not taking the game serious yet. Thus the 'GO GET EM, TIGER'.

I'm not joking around anymore.

Just like you trying to start a train on the easiest of Gleip or myself was a joke? tongue.gif

No, that wasn't a joke, that was my effort to get the game rolling again.

It worked, didn't it?

He doesn't need to defend himself, he's done nothing wrong. You on the other hand made and are making a concerted effort to derail the only course of discussion that we currently have right now. Well, you know what? You succeeded. All my suspicions lie solely on you right now.

The only problem with that being.. you're suspicious of me because I'm suspicious of you. I'm making an effort, concerted or not, because I don't think lynching a random person is the right idea. There's only two avenues of thought.

doesn't sound scummy to me. Am I the only one here?

Okay! That's fair enough.

I've terribly little else to add, other than that Romertien's felt a bit off to me, but then again she did last game too and ended up town. And I'm interested in seeing where this current line of argument will lead.
Shaddus2010-03-03 06:28:45
Let me say this before I hit the bed for the night IRL. I don't know if Tekora is scum or not, and it's entirely possible that he's not. Be that as it may, his actions are in my opinion scummy or might inadvertantly help the scum, and thus, we should keep an eye on him. If next time I get on he's changed his idea of lynching a random person just to get info or hopefully get lucky, it's possible I might downgrade to an FoS. Until then, I'm keeping my vote on him.

If you guys would like more deeply unfounded and suspiciously poor reasons to accuse each other, check out the exchange between Furien and Arix in posts 172-175.

Heeey, wait a minute. Right after those posts, Furien also asks if we noticed we went back in time. That was the very first mention of it.

Now I really want to know where that came from.

You keep coming back to your main argument that I want to lynch a random person. How many times do I have to say that I DO NOT want to lynch a random person? I want to PREVENT lynching a random person, because if we lynch a random person, odds are that person will be TOWN. I'm not going to post my exact quote again, because I've already reposted it at least FIVE TIMES.

Let's get this straight one last time before I go to sleep.

- I DO NOT want to lynch a random townie.

- I wanted to put votes on an inactive poster and get them to ROLECLAIM.

- Shaddus is the one that keeps beatdeadhorse.gif and trying to pound it into your heads that I want to lynch random townies and this makes me dangerous.

- Shaddus has misquoted and twisted around every single thing that I've said in an attempt to attempt to justify his lies and vilify me.

My idea never changed, dammit. See above.

The horse is pulp. I'm going to bed.

What about lynching the most inactive person? Or at least waking them up and squeezing them for information?

Damn gnomes and their achievements. Kept my ass up.

So, not only did you actually say that you wanted to lynch an inactive person (or at least make them roleclaim), but here's a full quote, not twisted. So you lied halfway. Nitpicking? Sure it is. But incase you haven't noticed, we don't have many other options. You may not want to lynch a random townie, but putting pressure on someone who isn't active solves little aside from taking up time.

UNVOTE: Xavius
VOTE: Tekora

While I'm not totally satisfied with Xavius' answers, I'm even less satisfied with the reasoning Tekora is using. If you're gonna point the ol' finger of suspicion, use quotes, and then explain why you think they're scum because of the quotes.

Until this happens, my vote stands. We are an elite team. We cannot afford such squabbles to clutter our minds and our focus.
Eldanien2010-03-03 09:15:56
I'm leery of voicing suspicion, given the riotously poor result of my last chain of guesswork. Consider me abstaining from this vote for now, unless or until I piece together something a bit more certain.

I disagree with that. Sure, lurkers may be either scum or town, but I don't think it's unproductive.

Solved little? It worked on Xavius. Threw a few votes on him and 'Ta-Da!' He's talking again!

But you go ahead and keep thinking otherwise.

I'm sorry for not saying much, but I've never played mafia before, only read prior games, so I'm not sure how much I have to add, except try and listen to others. And honestly, I don't like what Shaddus is saying, because Tekora's intent is clear as glass to me, which suggests that Shaddus is willfully misinterpreting what Tekora is saying. Which I find suspicious.

Uh.... his intent was to vote for either you (which he considered weak) or Xavius in order to either squeeze information out of you, or get rid of dead weight, basically. I don't like to throw people in front of the bus, sorry.
Shaddus2010-03-03 20:11:03
I also disagreed with Tekora because he pointed out two people he decided we needed more information from and waited to see who would be voted for before he threw in his vote.
Gleip2010-03-03 20:30:53
So he wants to poke me for information... what? That doesn't mean he wants to lynch like you claimed in your last post.

The voting mechanism only exists to further a lynch.
