One-shot doctor... not sure how believable that is.
Xavius2010-03-08 03:24:37
It's not at all.

But!

Unvote: Tekora

I think we might have something better. One sec.
Xavius2010-03-08 03:25:33
Actually, never mind.

PS: Eldanien thinks he might have killed Kira, but been redirected. Please hold him still tonight. Vigs don't attempt day one kills.

One-shot doctor is a really weird claim, and if we have another doctor out there (which I'm sure we do), I'm not buying it as sufficient reason to unvote. It could just as well be a scum power as a townie power, especially giving the doubling-up of roles.
Rika2010-03-08 03:30:49
The way I see it is that in most games, one-shot doctor is just a power role claim that isn't really a power role claim (ie they didn't want to claim full doctor in case the other doctor speaks up). Thing about this game is that our investigators are already looking pretty useless in terms of definitely finding scum. That's why I'm not completely sure if that was a false claim or not.

Give 'em time. It's day two.

Given, rather.

And hmm, so Eldanien was trying to kill Xavius and might have killed Kira? Definite FoS there if so.

I'm talking about the Replicators thing. Sounds like all scum have some replicating ability. Maybe I'm wrong though.

Oh, hmm. Good call. I don't think there are any replicator sympathizers in the series. They can still pick up the wraiths (or whoever has the weapon with the orange discharge), though.
Tekora2010-03-08 04:44:35
Xikue was kind enough to clarify my role PM for me.

I'm a Reviver. Not a Doctor. Now get your votes off me.
Unknown2010-03-08 05:47:22
I missed all the chat. I was going to vote Tekora while reading until this last post. I can believe his claim.
Eldanien2010-03-08 06:16:01
Meh, my head's spinning.

And yeah, I know I look awful suspicious. Kind of frustrating. From my perspective at the time, it was a calculated risk that looked favorable.

UNVOTE

At some point, I'm sure there will be someone I feel needs to die. I have a role, and I'll use it. But I'll keep myself in check for now.
Xavius2010-03-08 06:28:55
One shot reviver is both verifiable and believable. <3 verifiable.

Night one vigging is not.

I honestly don't know what to think.

Eldanien sounds like a cute little kitty that lost his way and got confused who pounced at some weird idea without thinking it through.

Are Wraiths SKs or are they in pairs/teams?
Mirami2010-03-08 06:40:25
Belivable claim. Not sure he's human, but a believable claim. I'm not gonna unvote until a better option presents itself.

does somebody familiar with the Canon want to fill me in on why Eldanien is suspicious because of that shot-thingy?
Xavius2010-03-08 06:42:33
Energy weapons are everywhere. It's not the orange glow that's suspicious, only distinctly not-replicator. It doesn't matter at this point, because he's admitted to the kill.

What's suspicious is that someone claiming to be pro-town indiscriminately killing. That's scum behavior.
Rika2010-03-08 07:01:01
Yeah, one-shot reviver is a lot more viable than a one-shot doctor. Also what Xavius said, night 1 vig kill attempts are meh.

It's not indiscriminate, though...

Ronon's handheld cannon shoots orange flashy bolts. As I said, I had a lot of suspicion for Xavius. Enough that I was fairly confident in targeting him. At this point, I'm thinking redirection rather than blocking.

Eldanien, why did you think Xavius was scummy?

Yeah, I agree with the whole townvig shouldn't really be killing anyone night 1 but I'm not sure whether that's worth a lynch.
Eldanien2010-03-08 07:19:29
Since we had nothing in the way of hard facts, I was just watching behavior. To me, that's what mafia seems to be about... reading people.

So I looked at everyone's posts, and imagined what they might be thinking if they were town. Then what they might be thinking if they were scum. This is, as mentioned, shaky. Only a couple of people's wording/responses raised flags with me. Xavius was one. The more I thought on it, the more it seemed to me like he was saying just enough to be able to point back and cover himself. This suspicion became strong enough that I felt it would be worth the risk.
