Bali is a redirector. Better to read the long desc.
Unknown2010-04-14 20:50:49
Maybe he thought it would be prudent to try to keep Siam safe until Xavius would have time to try to research his power? I thought they were both mentioned on day 1 as possible things to pick up along with Saran's.
Kiradawea2010-04-14 21:29:19
No. The two Xavius really ought to be copying is me (to give us two shots at nullifying the work of the SKer) and Saran, because of her investigation dolls.
Unknown2010-04-14 21:33:27
Fair enough.

NOT FEMALE

One question though. Can Xavius use my investigation once I've used it?
Unknown2010-04-15 04:05:14
Yes, he can still research powers that have been used, as long as the user is still alive.

As for Bali, sorry if the short description is misleading. He's actually a sidekick, but we rarely see that here so I thought that would make things even more confusing. When in doubt, read the long description like Xavius said.

Sorry! I was thinking about Alice.

It's confusing when you keep switching between referring to the character and the player. sad.gif

Oh, also. Poke the Bali. He needs to explain why Siam.

Thanks!

/waits on Bali's explanation

Also, I don't think Arix is the kind of mafia player who randomly uses his powers without a plan, I'd be more than happy as to what his plan was when he froze Xavius, i.e. what he'd have done afterward.

You must be new here.

Noooot quite. At least I hope. But for all the random things Arix may do, I've always believed he has a plan behind all those things.
Arix2010-04-15 20:54:05
I did have a reason, people are either too lazy to look it up, or are ignoring it. When I chose who to freeze, I looked for people who either didn't have a night power, or had a power that a godfather could conceivably have them abstain from using in favour of a nightkill. Xavius was one of those people, and I chose him
Arix2010-04-15 20:56:32
I also figured that the roleblocker would probably cover one of the no nightaction people, assuming they themselves were not scum
Kiradawea2010-04-15 22:35:57
Unless they thought similar to you amirite?

Especially because Xavius power is probably one of the few that a mafia would not want to give up. Saran, me and Siam all have powers that'd make us the obvious scum killer. Watcher and Tracker are of limited use for someone who already knows who the bad guy is. Doctor would be perfect for them to give up. Especially now that the tracker is gone so people can claim that they targetted whomever with impudence.

So yes, you still have some explaining to do for why you chose Xavius of all people, and not any of those mentioned before.

Still waiting for Bali tho.
Arix2010-04-15 22:42:05
If you actually read the posts, I said at the beginning of day two that I thought was good but in hindsight probably wasn't
Arix2010-04-15 22:45:06
Also, just because you're perfect and never ever make poor decisions, doesn't mean everyone else is
Xavius2010-04-16 05:23:18
Ok, so, Bali is all full of fail. Replacing him won't do us any good, because his replacement won't know his motivation, and we won't be able to get any sort of read on that. Time for a new idea or pushing Bali's death.

In terms of new ideas, I'm not really up for grilling Arix. He wasn't the scum kill. You're supposed to lynch the bad people, not the bad players.
Unknown2010-04-16 05:32:11
I think I can get behind that. Unless we manage to get a story some time soon...

Vote: Bali

So why'd you lynch Gleip? Same principle, except that Gleip could've actually been useful to keep around since we as a town more easily could use his power.

I mean, since we're all looking for tag-teams anyway, what proof do we have that you weren't the killer and that you're teaming with everyone's favourite partner Arix? I mean, besides the fact that blocking you would be very beneficial to scum anyway, since you're our key to an additional investigation and "SUIKA SMASH" cleansing. No I'm not using my power.

I won't vote for Bali until he's given an explanation anyway. Mod, kindly give him a poke?
Arix2010-04-16 09:58:24
Gleip was unstable, and was perfectly willing to just randomly kill people. Also, I'm going to bed. See you all Sunday
Kiradawea2010-04-16 10:06:49
No he wasn't. If he was, we wouldn't be given 48 hours of warning.
