Yes, I forgot to post this.

If we don't daykill Kiradawea today, we risk losing the ability to kill her completely. We're currently at 6 players, we need majority-plus-2 to lynch her. That's 6, and obviously she won't vote for herself. I could TRY killing her at night, but she has her protection that she's not going to give up and Kira would probably use her Supershot or the Keystone bomb tonight to get rid of me.

No matter what, we have to daykill Kira today. If not, we lose. As for what we can do down the road, we can guarantee another day phase by using Siam's global block tonight. Once we get to Day 5, I'll start mapping out Endgame scenarios, because there's still too many paths we can take from this point, though they all branch from two main courses of action.

Daykill Kira -> Global Block -> Guaranteed Day 5

Don't daykill Kira/lynch a townie (Town = 3 left)-> Global Block -> Saran daykills Kira Day 5 -> Mafia brings townie count down to 2 OR Arsonist triggers Bombs, possible win for Arsonist

Both of your scenarios rely on Siam not being the final scum

Just for the sake of opinion - should I be using my swap power anymore at this point? It seems like it is a bit limited at this point, and unreliable in providing any new information.

Who have you been using it on, anyway?

I have a contingency for that.

Night 1 - Did nothing, as I figured scum would think I would, and I could technically be safe on this night without having to make use of it.

Night 2 - Swapped with Shiri, as previously noted, though it was only a small mention. His power was kind of muddle-ish like mine, and his general tendency towards getting more quiet as the game went on made me weary, so I thought he'd be a good bet to redirect a roleblock/nightkill/investigation/whatever to. Turns out I was right.

Night 3 - Did nothing, since I can only function every other day. And Saran blocked me too.

Not to be a cynic or anything, since I agree (partly) with the Daykill Kira -> Global Block -> Guaranteed Day 5 plan, but, I don't think it would make much difference. Why? Because at this point in time, Kira is practically at Saran's daykilling doll's mercy and there's nothing much she can do about it. Should she die, it's still day. Are we to vote no lynch to get to night then have me roleblock everyone? That seems to me as only an extension of the current day because with everyone roleblock, doesn't that ensure night ends immediately?

I say we review what has transpired in the game to find the person who radiates the strongest scum vibes, and decide whether we lynch the said peron after killing kira.

Yes, one was Kanako and the other was me killing Shulamit.

We're not sure if Kiradawea is Kanako or if she's Tenshi. That's why you're going to use your global block tonight to prevent Tenshi from hitting the bomb, if it turns out that Kiradawea is Kanako and not Tenshi.

Get it?

Why are we not sure that she is Kanako? Please see below:

And if Vendetta got blocked last night, she's also off the list of suspect for Shiri's team. Saran's off the list, too, since he used his a doll to roleblock someone. Xavius also used a Saran doll copy, so it leaves him off the suspect list as well. And I'd like to believe that with Arix freezing me on a past night yet someone ended up getting killed, I'm cleared as town as well.

Soooo...
From the 6 currently alive:
Tekora
Vendetta
Saran
Xavius
Siam

Kiradawea

Only Kiradawea is yet to be cleared. And with Xavius' saran doll investigation, I'm inclined to believe it is as reliable as Saran's which proved effective in us identifying Shiri. Soo....Kiradawea's on hotseat!

Of the five who were crossed-out from the list, 3 used a night action, and 2 (Vendetta and me) did nothing, YET, a death occured. I haven't seen an arsonist in action in any of the mafia games I joined, BUT I highly doubt any reasonable arsonist would be satisfied in killing just ONE townie, given that the arsonist knows who he's doused already and who's still alive and can compared his/her list to the list of people still in play. Unless, there's something more concrete presented, then I'm inclined to believe that Kira is not the arsonist, but is rather Shiri's teammate.

There are two more scum, yes. However, the list shows people who got cleared off our supposed suspect list because they either did night actions or got roleblocked or did nothing. That list was based on everyone's night action, not the current situation per se, and that's also why the list does not account for the arsonist because we have no way of knowing the arsonists actions last night. That list was also made to prove that Kira is Kanako, Shiri's scum teammate and not the arsonist.
Tekora2010-05-08 13:53:16
Seeing as how Kira came up with the same investigation message as Shiri, yes, she probably IS Kanako. But we don't know that for certain, and you never assume anything, especially during Endgame.
Tekora2010-05-08 13:54:19
And Kira, I see you reading the thread. Last chance to do the right thing and smash.
Kiradawea2010-05-08 14:02:38
Clever Siam. And no, I'm not using the Smash until Tekora's dead. That's final. I refuse to lose to an arsonist. You guys still have a shot, since there's nothing to prevent Xavius from copying Saran's dollkiller. Saran still has her doctor doll.
Xavius2010-05-08 16:20:50
So, that's that. Kira dies, discussion continues.

I don't get why the discussion has to continue. We already know that Kira is getting daykilled. Then when Night comes, we either use Siam's global roleblock to prevent the Arsonist from doing anything tonight and bring us safely to Day 5 with 4 town and 1 scum and can work towards a finish from there, (if Kira is Kanako) or we don't use the roleblock, Saran protects Xavius so Xavius can get another ability, Kanako kills one more person, bringing the player count to 3 town + 1 scum, and we go to Day 5. (if Kira is Tenshi)

I dislike the second scenario because it gives us one less live townie, but it eliminates the Arsonist threat. There is one other course of action though.

If Kira is Tenshi, we can still use Siam's global block tonight to block Kanako's kill and still enter Day 5 with 4 townies.

And because I've a few of you with theories that Siam is the last scum, even if Siam IS the last scum, I can guarantee his cooperation in this by simply aiming my kill at him tonight.

So, that's what I'm proposing. Kill Kira and no matter what she comes up as, use the Global Block tonight. I'll target Siam, and if he cooperates, we glide into Day 5 in good shape. If he doesn't, Town wins tonight.
Siam2010-05-08 23:15:38
I still do not understand why you insist that Kira is NOT Kanako. I've posted my reasons several posts prior to this. Daykilling killing Kira still leaves us with an oppurtunity to LYNCH someone. Night does NOT come immediately after Kira gets daykilled. Yes, we usually can't risk assumption during endgame, but this one is not just a random assumption. This was based on what happened last night. Kira basically admitted being Kanako already, see: I do not wish to lose to an arsonist.

Anyway, I still think we need to discuss things after daykilling Kira.

If Kira was not the arsonist then she would have smashed. This would have meant that the arsonist would have had to start over this night phase with no keystones.

KILL KIRADAWEA

lynch on xav if this is wrong

She could still be LYING. Scum have a tendency to do that, you know.

Saran whispers briefly to Shanghai, then casts her out in one fluid gesture towards Kiradawea. Drawing a pair of tiny but lethally sharp swords, the doll stabs Kiradawea in a flurry of movement, opening up a score of bleeding wounds before the oni can react. As she braces herself and takes a swig of sake, intent on retaliating with fire, a wide violet beam lances out from the doll and takes her down.

Kiradawea was scum (Kanako).

The day goes on. With 5 alive, it's 3 to lynch!
