I use to be fearful of them but really now I just send them tells if they are around and it's fun when I get replies. Made a painting of Nocht when I was in Magnagora and that was fun. Wanted to get paintings of them all in a manse but don't think that will happen.

As someone who's felt the same about IG gods, I think Xavius's advice and tone really helps to put things into perspective if you're being paralysed by your assumptions about them. That and the friendly forum presence some of those god-players have (demonstrating that they're human like you!) should help alleviate that too.

For my part this is not to be mean or denigrate the very good work some of the admins do. Some players have been witness to more than others, however, and know how to correctly put things into the proper perspective.

Xavius' tone, to me, sounded condescending and mean. Yes, I want to get over it, but I was looking for helpful advice, not to be put down.

The forums aren't the best place to ask for honest help, because people will always be condescending and mean. Most of us aren't-- too many are.

Man, that wasn't condescending and mean, it was wry. You'll know when someone launches a personal attack, because it'll be censored about eight seconds later... so, uh, maybe you won't know. Basically, if you get offended, assume you shouldn't be.

Xavius always struck me as a whiskey and wry guy.

Some of the best RP moments I have had were with the Divine, mostly Lacostian and Elostian, but that is probably 3 different people in all. Anyways, I STILL get nervous when talking with them even if I have sometimes initiated the roleplay, like going to his fulcrux and mumbling stuff or asking to be in an Order. But no matter how scared I get, I still have a lot of fun. I guess its like trying to get over stage-fright; which I think we all have in various degrees of. You have to do you best to ignore it and just do it!

But remember the most important rule, have fun! Even getting zapped is fun (or so it seems).

Don't make my mistake and write antitheism into your character. I can't chat with a god without being at least a little passive agressive, even the ones I like.

Everiine used to be highly suspicious of the Elder Gods, and still is to some extent. He is more comfortable around Lisaera now, but still a little afraid of Her. And he is more comfortable around Maylea, but that's about it.

All of us are approachable. Really. Just try not to be dumb stupid moronic rude. We love a good conversation. Especially Eventru. Feel free to bug him every hour of the day!

I do like Eventru, wish I interacted with him more. Elostian also seems really cool and I would be in his order if I weren't in Eventru's, but I just don't like the whole scholarship side of things in lusty. Debates are fun, but they're frustrating because other people type slowly

Thanks for the advice. I do, however, think bugging Eventru when I'm a tainted little furball would be a terrible idea if I actually have any hopes of not losing my hard-earned experience. XD I appreciate it nonetheless.

...Anyways. Just because you should not fear us as gods in real-life, does not mean you shouldn't in-game. They are, after all, gods - but they generally don't zap without a good reason (and are generally rather enjoyable characters)
