Request:
Split tradeskills and other skills up (so you can activate a tradeskill and a non-trade skill in the same month). This is kind of important for things like Enchanting for bards (have to switch to Highmagic and Enchanting...)

Request 2:
Let us change tradeskills for a lower cost, and / or a lower time limitation, please!

I was in line with Solanis in thinking the cooldown would be much longer. Fine as is, I think.

Fine as-is for normal skills, tradeskills seem a bit different though (there's a whole heck of a lot less "actively use in combat" from them in general), and if there's still a hard-coded delay of some kind you're still better off picking up stuff from shops / other people as far as day-to-day use goes.

At the very least letting you activate 1 tradeskill and 1 active skill in a month would be great.

Why make an exception for tradeskills?

All this does is enable people to grab for the trans items without even using the actual trades in an even easier manner. Doesn't need special exceptions.

(Magic -> Low/Highmagic was PERFECT though)

Think about that for a second.

If you grab the trans trade item, why would you have any real need or reason to switch back to it on any real basis? You wouldn't, at least not for the trans trade item... you'd be doing it for other things, which don't have the combat benefit (since you already have that trans trade item from when you first got it).

Giving it "special exceptions" would allow for easier use of them as... y'know... trade skills.

I love this so much I think I'm going to cry. I've gone from Trans TK to Dreamweaving to TK to Dreamweaving, to TP to TK....Almost Transing all of these before switching. I've lost so many lessons in the process! I only wish it was done sooner! Thank you for combining Magic and High/Low magic as well.

I was hoping there would be a change in trade skills. So many people take on Tailoring to get splendors (you people know who you are!) and now they can get their splendors and suppress it, and go on to having a useful skill that will help shopkeepers throughout the game. It would be nice if the cost was reduced a bit for trade skills (the time is okay so people don't exploit it), but I wont cry if it's not changed. Again, thanks so much!

Yes, I'm already taking advantage of it! Great addition, just offering some suggestions.

That, and it gives me an envoy idea for next month. happy.gif Woo for Crow-envoy.

So who's going to be the person to Trans every skillset there is?

You know someone's thinking it.

Quick! The lesson sale won't last forever! cool.gif
Fania2010-04-16 01:32:55
I have been thinking about moving to Enchanting for a bit. It's really hard to find someone who actually wants to enchant! It was so many lessons and so much time to get there and then move back! I'm going to go for it now (or shortly). It's nice to know that I can go back with a minimal loss in lessons.

Hey you.

Is there a "confirm" option on FORGET SKILLSET PERMANENTLY?

Please make sure there is?

Please move resilience into combat, that would probably get me back out of dormancy would also massively lower the cost of people getting into combat in the first place and still loads of new skills for people to dump credits into.

Ugh... I just spent the last 30 minutes learning resilience to trans from the lessons I used in Magic
Zalandrus2010-04-16 01:41:45
*hyperventilate*

I JUST switched from Tahtetso to Sentinel yesterday. I just finished using up all my lessons on my new warrior skills.

Then again, I wouldn't have had nearly enough lessons to be effective if I didn't forget my monks skills, so oh well.
Sylphas2010-04-16 01:51:29
I'd have Healing, Hexes, Dreamweaving, Runes, Ecology, Glamours, Wildarrane, Acrobatics, Druidry, Stag, Moon, and Wicca if this had come out earlier. sad.gif
Saran2010-04-16 02:16:57
Does the permanent forget work on dormant skills? Might people helpful for people who can't/don't want to activate a skill but still want to lose it
Kaalak2010-04-16 02:32:04
Both changes are good ideas.
Casilu2010-04-16 02:33:40
Now I need 138 credits.
