I know how you feel. TRACKING, HERE I COME.

So if you make a skillset dormant, it goes away for awhile and makes room for a different skill, but the lessons spent on it remain spent, correct?
That seems like the obvious answer, but I don't see it explicitly stated anywhere, and someone else probably knows better than me.

That's right. 'Awhile' is however long until you forget a skill that goes in that slot (trade, primary/secondary/tertiary guild skill) and re-activate it.
Shulamit2010-04-16 04:05:15
So. I could, like, go out, trans cooking, buy a second cartel for cooking, then just keep switching back and forth making tons of different designs?
Nooo! Musn't...spend...so much....augh

You don't need to be a cook to run a private cooking cartel.
Razenth2010-04-16 04:18:33
Yeah, Vermilla, Kharaen, and Viynain all maintain practically one of every cartel. Bookbinding seems to be the one that gets the short stick.
Shulamit2010-04-16 04:29:18
But what's the fun in designing the designs if I can't them make them and give them out as gifts all the time?
Bookbinding isn't short on designs! As long as you join my cartel. You'll have tons! Honestly!

Now what skill to take.....
Is it really you can only hold 1 other skill in each group? Or can I keep dormant: highmagic, tailoring, psionics/psychometabolism?
Yes please, move resilience to combat
P.S. refund was 1714 lessons, its 1715 to trans a skill iirc

I have both forging and poisons dormant at once. So I assume yes.
Zallafar2010-04-16 05:51:12
In case anyone else is trying to decide whether to trans LowMagic or HighMagic with that refund from the Magic skill, here's the summary I worked up to help me decide.
BOTH
Circle = Pentagram
Red = Malkuth
Nullify = Void
Summer = Tipheret
Green = Gedulah
Indigo = Chockmah
Violet = Kether
LOW
Orange - temporarily halve hunger increases
Spring - strip a defense
Yellow - increase constitution
Blue - keep conversations private
Autumn - increase experience
Winter - make a blizzard
Serpent - unbreakable shield
HIGH
Yesod - invisible (and shrouded?)
Netzach - increase charisma
Hod - cure 2 mental afflictions
Hexagram - bring down flyers and climbers
Geburah - increases strength
Binah - lower opponent's constitution
Greatpentagram - unbreakable room barrier

Low also gets herbs and poisons. High gets.... nothing.

I object too, if only cause if it sucks, then why have I been designing for it for so long?
