Why do I need to get an envoy to fix an obvious defect?

Bug #11030 Resolution: Your bug report has been reviewed and is not considered a bug. If you feel it is a game balance concern, you should speak to your guild envoy.

Surtami some times takes a quick jaunt into the Charnel house or the "Prize room." of the Aslaran camp in the moors. This sometimes causes her to get locked inside the room. Making it impossible to return krokani corpses, can this be fixed?

How can this be an intended effect, who said yea this should be put in...

You wouldn't get an envoy to look at it. The response is a generic message for bugs we don't consider to be bugs. Sometimes people make reports about skills that they think should work differently. That's why that line is in there.

Perhaps because she's part of a quest, not just a vending machine.

so it's a blow off?

If it's anything like the cook, she just automatically goes in there every so often, does something for a while and them comes out as part of a mobprog...

So, it wouldn't be a bug if that's the case.

Their "This is not a bug" line comes automatically tied in with the envoy thing, which they've talked about changing in the past but never happened.

If you're noticing an actual bug with the mobprog (like she stays in that room for 40 minutes+), rebug with the relevant details & timestamps.

There's a difference between a bug and an unintended effect. For instance, if Surtami moves around and happens to be in the room when the door locks (thus making her inaccessible), it's not really a bug, it's just bad timing.

I issued it, a divine turned it into a bug and then the bug was claimed to not be a bug. And no, she stays down there till the next mob reset.

Before we focus too much on the wording, let's ask ourselves, if the resolution had simply said "Your bug report has been reviewed and is not considered a bug.", krin would still have ranted. There would just have been a slightly different, but equally irrelevant, flavor to the rant.

Yeah, you're going to want to edit that, take a deep breath, calm down...

Then read my post.

You should give more details in this case, because what your bug says sounds like not-a-bug.
Ssaliss2010-04-18 14:07:18
How often does this happen? Never really turned in Krokani before... Was it just the one time, or does it happen regularly?

I agree with you in principle, but in practice, the obligatory grind for experience and gold pretty much compels people to treat them this way.

I don't think it's fair to play the "RP/flavor/atmosphere" card (which I enjoy playing myself) on bashers, that's all.

Just my two cents.

It just wasn't considered a bug. If you think it's a design flaw, you can always make use of the IDEA command. Believe it or not, we do look through the list!

I think that's about all that needs saying at this point so I'm closing it!
