Aoife's a tailor/enchanter, and the artifact description isn't really clear that it doesn't affect the cooking/herofete process, but the eating process.

Yeah, I recently bought one of those for Altana and I'm rather disappointed to find out its (lack of) effect. It's even listed as a trade artifact. How in the world does this help a person's trade?
Lendren2010-05-02 18:46:27
Many trade artifacts are of no value at all to the crafter: the pantograph, for instance. (And that's not even counting how once you have something like Gloves of Mastery everyone assumes they're going to get all the savings it brings, or at least most of it.) Still, it could be clearer. A few people have asked if they could borrow mine when infusing and were disappointed that it wouldn't help.

Well Artisans aren't exactly given a whole lot of perks to begin with, Lendren
But yes, if the spoon is only good for the consumer and not the cook, maybe it should be listed elsewhere, or tweaked.

So I'm looking at the monk package, but I already own level 2 equivalent of two of the three artifacts as part of the package. Can I get a 100% credit refund on those, or do I have to trade them in and get the 66% refund?
Unknown2010-05-15 16:41:23
I'm no admin, but I'd say 66% refund. Why would you buy a package when you already have two of the three? (Because you want the 100% refunds, obviously, but other than that, it seems silly.)
Ardmore2010-05-15 16:47:12
Well, no. It's because I'm probably going monk, so I could either buy the warrior package and sell the 2 runes I can't use, or buy the monk package and ask for a 100% refund.
I'm not going to buy anything if I can't get 100% of the credits, so we'll see.
Edit: The reason for this is so I can buy the lvl3 runes with the extra credits I have sitting on me

I was confused about it too but there was a post about it and I seem to remember Estarra saying something about this applying to this sale, but I couldn't for the life of me remember.
Ardmore2010-05-15 17:01:55
Guess I'll wait for confirmation of it from my issue before going forward.
Okay, upon further reading...

If the runes you own are already attached to a weapon that isn't your monk weapon, you won't be able to get a 100% refund. If they're not, you might be able to attach them to your monk weapon, then "substitute" them for the runes you got in the package to get a 100% refund. It just depends whether or not the code lets you swap out identical level runes or not.
ongaku2010-05-16 09:15:00
*sigh* last artifacts I'm getting, I swear, are the font and the symbol for Ongaku. Srsly. No more after that. If I buy anymore, I'm going to commit seppuku.
