Notepad shouldnt' have that trouble-- there's no formatting. When I try to do things in Word that will happen, but never in Notepad. That's all Nexus does when you write-- it opens up a Notepad.

The only advantage I have ever seen with the Nexus Notepad is that it lets you put * in your writing. MUSH can't do that since that's the command marker. But that's it.

Well, for some reasons, when I use spaces to set things in the middle and have multiple blank lines to create a space, these things don't seem to carry over right into the regular game editor and it's all wonky and I have to go back in and change it.

And making corrections, adding a word or two is a real pain in the regular editor, cause you have to overwrite an entire line just to change one word.

I just don't like it!!!! Give me back the ability to move back and forth for writing!

When I have to make a correction, I find it easy to copy the whole thing back into Notepad (which is what the Nexus editor does), change it there, then copy it back to the editor (which is also what Nexus does).

I think there might be some MUSH settings that are messing with you if blank spaces are going wonky.

Notepad/nexus don't deal with linebreaks and spacing properly, always needs manual readjustment, Noola is right.

I think it's the other way around.
Mushclient (and other clients) kill multiple spaces back into one space, thus ruining whatever layout you made.
Nexus text editor doesn't do that (unless you pass the max char per line limit, then it chops you senseless).

I've never had a problem with multiple spaces with Mushclient, you just have to make sure they're actual spaces and not tabs.

What's really weird is that often after a disconnect I lose some but not all defenses. And I don't mean persistent ones like moonchilde or vitae, I mean randomly chosen ones, like I might lose mercy but not perfection.

I've never had problems with spaces, line breaks, or anything else using Notepad + MUSHclient. The only time I have a problem is when I sometimes copy from something that has its own manual line breaks in odd places that I forget to readjust (which is a problem I had with the Nexus notepad too). I liked the Nexus editor too, but I get identical results using Notepad + MUSH, and it's even faster than Nexus.

Yes I have also noticed this.

Apparently, despite not being around right now due to being at my grandparents, I've been raiding Celestia. They enemied me to Celestia and the Celestines for it, but.. if I was raiding, wouldn't I have already been enemied to Celestia?

I thought I was the only one.

Notepad also has formatting issues for me, so I write all of my things in Wordpad, which deals with spaces and line breaks better than Notepad IMO. Additionally, I too have the problem with MUSHclient reducing multiple line breaks into one line break, so every time I require more than one line break, I simply press the spacebar on each line once, and that solves the problem.

People killing the krokani cook, or Surtami. BAD.

I've always used Notepad to draft things I then copied into the editor. You just have to keep each paragraph in one line line, disabling the word wrapping in Notepad completely, and then put two blank lines between each paragraph. MUSHclient does no wrapping of the text at all, if you paste it correctly.

Still doing the same quest(s) I've been doing since level -5-. I'm bloody 51 now. I needs to learn me a new quest.

I hunted turtles and alligators in Balach Swamp until I was about level 70... and then I moved on to rockeaters and moose. I do everything the hard way.

I hunted weevils until level 55 or so.

I did not buy a health potion until 60-65. Or other curatives. I killed rockeaters using shield (invoke circle, sleep to recover, then kill them) up to that point. Same with moose. Those moose required a lot of sleeping.

I hunted spectres to 80. Woo spectres.

You guys are f###ing masochists.
Unknown2010-08-07 21:00:20
I -still- hunt the Turtles and Alligators. EVerywhere else is taken half the time.
Noola2010-08-07 21:02:40
I do moose and rockeaters mostly. Sometimes I branch out into the Krokani/Aslarans, but for the most part, I do moose and rockeaters. smile.gif
