Sadie got called snuggly by some little Glomster who, two seconds before she said that, snuggled a painting twice. =( I rarely ever snuggle people on Sadie anymore, and they're all close people she knows if she does it. --saaaaaaad--
Snuggling is more of a state of being, as any Cuteromancer or Cupcakemancer well knows. Honestly though, I have no idea how Miss Sadie could possibly have picked up such a reputation when Miss Sadie is generally such a serious sort of person. There are certainly worse reputations to have though!

Tweeeeeet. Yanking at the roots of Lehki's hair as a faeling is fun.

There was a player who freaked out because she couldn't cuddle her friend at the Matrix.
Being the extreme opposite of the Snugglerâ„¢, I can't quite decide what is worse. Ice Queenâ„¢ has its downsides too. There are people who are successful at being cute without being annoying, its just increasingly rare. Both these types of characters can co-exist and enjoy playing with each other if they both stop trying so hard to be something.

This is like the Seren who freaked out because she had the title of Angel, and someone pointed out to her that Angels are disgusting beings formed from corrupted Fae, and asked her if she knew that she carried such a disgraceful title . That, and the fact that the title was given to her by a Magnagoran, who called her "his angel" because she was cute and sweet just made the whole situation laughable, really. She left that very minute and joined Hallifax because we were too oppressive.

Yeah, we've had a few people like that in Gaudiguch who left for Hallifax and Magnagora because we were too oppressive.
Kiradawea2010-08-24 16:20:21
Clearly, we haven't been oppressive enough!

"The City of Freedom is too oppressive! I'm heading for a more lax environment like Magnagora!"

I sense enough irony to outfit an entire fleet of warships.

"The City of Freedom is too oppressive! I'm heading for a more lax environment like Magnagora!"
But it IS oppressive! I want to do what I want all the time and they say I can't do exactly what I want all the time no matter what! FREEDOM BTCHES FREEEEEEEEEEEDOM!!! Freedom means no rules, no responsibility, no nothing right? Right?? RIGHT??? RIIIIIIIGGGHHHHTTT?????
I honestly wonder what goes through people's minds. I sincerely it is as amusing IRL as it is in my head .
Lendren2010-08-24 16:28:24
It's simple: it's not Serenwilde or Gaudiguch that's oppressing them, it's Lusternia. Specifically, Lusternia's insistence on having its own history and mythology, instead of letting them carry along whatever trope they like from whatever other generic fantasy background they have in mind. They're only blaming whoever happened to be the one to make them aware of it.
Kiradawea2010-08-24 16:35:14
A curse upon that Lusternia for having its own mythos which it sticks to through thick and thin.

I read that thread, lol. Pretty sure we are talking about the same person. Poor Serenwilde, they bear the brunt of the snuggling playerbase. Just wait for Ackleberry to come out and a whole new evil will unfold.
Lendren2010-08-24 17:16:54
My hope is Ackleberry will attract both the supersnugglers and the antisnugglingovercompensators, leaving Serenwilde free to occupy that same happy medium niche that nature itself occupies -- where the members of the herd/pack/tribe/etc. are just as quick to be fierce as affectionate, and vice versa, because both are part of what it is to be alive.

No, extremes are the only way.
That's the way it works.
