It's also smoother, is more of a social tool, and I can spend hours experimenting with mixtures of vase fluids and herbs... Like blueberry sheesh and milk in the base... Mmm, blueberries and cream...

I've had a hookah for 4 or so years now. It's long been the social gathering place. Best 75 bucks I ever spent.

having never actually smoked a hookah, this interests me. you can actually put different fluids in it? wouldnt this be hard to clean? does it change the flavour that much?

Sure. Milk, water. My neighbor used to use gatorade.

And it's no harder to clean, generally, than normal. Which you want to clean pretty often (drip from the flavouring, the tobacco running through. Makes for a nasty soup if you let it sit).

And I always felt it did. Some people disagreed, some agreed.

Tweets 2: Ice cream and hookahs.

For my tweet!: Wow I think I'm actually going to get more than 1,000 points in the Great Hunt this time!

EDIT: Also, I've never used a hookah and probably never will, but my brain is odd and has run off with all the possibilities of alternative fluids. And they're all pretty weird. Gravy...chicken broth...melted ice cream...lemonade...

I've heard from my sister it is also based on the which tobacco flavor you use. Not all are that strong, or flavorful. Just try mixing flavours/fluids to find your favorite, basically.

And yea it is quite the social gather place, even if you're not interested in smoking it. For someone like me (not a fan of smoking really) I didn't mind at all hanging around the lounge with my sister while the others smoked as I didn't notice the smell or it was a pleasant one at least.

Why did this have to be the weekend I made my mom so made I'm afraid of logging in for fear losing my computer? Being unemployed and living at home in your 20's is not recommened.

Actually, that's quite fine considering most people still have uni or college! When you're thirty though, start worrying. wink.gif

I hear that this is the new thing, actually; live with the parents while holding a job.

Your income is dramatically improved.

At-home life quality, perhaps not quite so much. Depending on the family.

It's been kind of a "new" thing for awhile.

Newer here than Japan, at least! tongue.gif

Or so the radio tells me.

And in the US at least, we have ridiculously high unemployment/low income jobs for the 18-25 demographic. So staying at home happens a lot right now.
Lilia2010-09-26 00:35:32
Yeah, I'm going to school, but they don't really appreciate me doing any leisure activity while I'm still unemployed.

Rent where I live is so high that several fellow 20-somethings I work with are doing that (and so am I). And we're all employed full-time. Basically it's a choice between living with the parents, or living in one of the two "affordable" towns nearby - where it would make the 11 o'clock news if there wasn't a shooting or stabbing that day.

Sad, sad, sad that we never have enough Aquamancers for... well anything. Same with Celest. I'm going to go rock myself to sleep in a corner now. losewings.gif
Dysolis2010-09-26 08:11:14
eh I suppose that's not my fault then.

Good news: made 97 on a 40-min abash trip (though I was 90-percent'ish going in). Pre-titan. Pre-pre-demi. Bad news: have to reformat my hard drive and missed out on XP weekend and a really nice divine favour. I'm getting so much closer...

I'm fairly sure this person was unranked when I checked before I went to bed, too. This influencing thing is getting a bit silly.

Edit: Not that I'm an advocate of the 'rich get richer' phenomenon that usually sweeps any sort of contest, but this sticks out like a sore thumb.

Don't worry. Hunting is still better.
