From now on, I shall stay away from the forums unless it is to tweet, ask a simple question, or message one of the few people who know how to hold a respectful conversation about a legitimate question rather than turning it into a self-esteem eroding process of insults and 'lolstopcomplainingbecauseyousuck.'

Actually, it's more of lolstopcomplainingaboutsomethingeveryoneelsehastodealwith.

Actually, it's more of a 'thisisanhonestopinionIhadandIsimplywanttoknowtheopinionsofothersaboutthesame
thing.'
But wait, I should know not to actually try to have a conversation with anyone on the Combat forums, so it's still my fault.

No, you really were just complaining too.
You added a question about people's thoughts on passive shielding, but you were still complaining. You even admitted to ranting.

Alright, enough of that discussion.

Does anyone else have a hard time being happy with their guild choice? I was a guardian, wanted to be a monk. Became a ninjakari, wanted to be a guardian again. As celestine, suddenly wanted to be a warrior. and now, i feel like joining nekotai..

I've been a Serenguard for two centuries, and so far still not regretting it.

what do you like about it? The guild members? the guild skills? the commune members?
Unknown2010-09-28 20:51:11
I love being an Aeromancer even though having to maintain a demesne kind of sucks. Luckily I'm kind of terrible at fighting so no one ever expects me to.
EDIT: I know you were replying to him, but you snuck it in before I'd gotten my post finished, and I feel like I could reply to it too!
What I love about being an Aeromancer is-- all of those things! Except with city members instead of commune members, of course. If you only like just one of those things, or you aren't too crazy about any of them, you probably will find yourself feeling a bit out of place. Some people land right where they feel the best first try, and some people still haven't found their niche. My advice to you is: don't settle for less than what it is you want out of the game! If you're bored with or unhappy with your guild, you're probably not going to be able to enjoy your time playing Lusternia. So don't fret about having to look, because once you find where you belong it will all have been worth it!

I used to have that problem-- I could never keep characters going past newbiehood or just past-- but then Hallifax came out, and I haven't had that problem since! Except when the Institute came out and I switched guilds, but that was a one-time thing. I just love the atmosphere and find it compelling enough to stay.

I love the guild and (nearly all of) the commune. Great people. The skills are a lot of fun, too. Warrior hunting and fighting just has such cool messages. At this stage, it would cost me too many thousands of credits in skills and artifacts to make a change, anyway. Heh.

Haha, great advice Phoebus, you`re right. I`m just a bit lazy to hang around with alts and see how i like it. I usually create an alt and suicide in 15 minutes, but i`ll take the time now to see where i feel more at home. I`ll do that (:

I am liking warrior as well, maybe just not feeling the environment here in Gaudi. I`ll hang around for a while longer before i do another random decision that costs alot of credits heh. Like Pheobus said, i`ll keep looking until i feel at home. BTW Zarquan, what specialization are you? I am Pureblade

That's because everyone else left/went back to their other characters/stopped playing.
I suggest you just make alts in various guilds and see which ones you like. It's better to commit to a guild you like later rather than committing to a guild you don't actually like earlier.

Yeah, I was a stupid noob. I thought Hallifax looked super neat, and I couldn't resist the loboshigaru race, but I didn't know anything about stats and stuff, and Aeromancers were the only guild available when I started. Don't tell anybody, but being a lobo mage is not fun. Hopefully I played off my guild-hopping with some tact...
Thendis2010-09-29 00:46:58
Anyone else look at the IRE perks for October? They feel a little over the top to me. And the other games may not have aetherhunting, but it seems like an even bigger excuse than normal to aetherhunt.
Edit: and now I see there is a thread for this. >_>

You were the best lobo mage ever.

Hallifax's flawed logic and philosophy.

I'm a Bonecrusher. Always have been, always will be (probably). It's just so satisfying to hear the crunching of bones from a palpable hit. I'm probably the only warrior who chooses to use flails.

Hah thats great. Its pretty awesome that you choose RP or your preferred weapon over what everyone insists best for PK. I always wanted scimitars, but its discouraging when everyone says it plain sucks. Its also discouraging when you lose alot at PK because of your weapon disadvantage
here i go again--->
