Gaudiguch right now isn't really opposing Glomdoring, we've been mostly sitting on a "We don't bother you, you don't bother us" type deal at the moment.

Over fourty statues destroyed, rebuilt and enchanted. And still much more to go. I thought this was supposed to be a game.

Being a voice of reason, if you don't like it, why are you doing it? Nobody is or can force you to.

It's just a game, not an obligation. Deep down inside, you feel a sense of responsibility towards your organization. Stop it!

Your point? You're not having fun, don't do it. As Razenth said, you're under no obligation to do it. If the reward for doing it is good, then do it, if it isn't, don't bother.

Why're you destroying and rebuilding statues anyway?

It's probably some kind of Stalinesque type thing that Casilu is propagating. You know, erasing these people from pictures, books, any form of media, that kind of thing. They're probably statues of Casi's political enemies.

They're enchanted by someone not around anymore, but neither runed nor tuned. There's no way to re-enchant them, so they must be destroyed and then rebuilt and reenchanted before they can be used for defense.

That rather sucks. Maybe we need to idea a way to disenchant a statue.

I totally understand where you're coming from. Toteming in Glom was similar.

Thing is, though, if you carry that effort by yourself, that's what people will expect. "Oh, someone else will take care of it."

If simple requests and rationalizations aren't working to motivate people to help, then probably the best way to raise the priority of that issue is to let your org get rolled a few times because of it.

The vast majority of people, though, don't have Destroy in arts. I'm almost omnitrans, it's next on my list, but I don't have it. So it's going to hard to spread the work out too much.

Ah, that makes sense (though, I kinda like Razenth's explanation ). But surely there's other folks in your city who have high Arts! Why aren't they helping?

I was already in somewhat of a bad mood, and then I had to log in to play...

Luckily, statues have the advantage in that, though it takes very long to set up, once they're set up, maintenance is easy. Just a marble once every six RL months or so.

I'm sayin though, every statue should be of you. The whole city should be a monument to you. Change your description now and then for the sketches so there's different poses of you. You're doing all the work, I say, have some fun with it!
