Well losing Divinefire means we would have killed Celina 20 seconds sooner than we did.

Funny, having been in nearly every org and on both sides of this problem, I noticed that no one says 'We need to call Glomdoring' or wherever. They just sort of show up. Deathsight or revolts is sort of like a giant sign that says 'come and fight here', there doesn't even need to be communications, they just show up.
Hah, revolts. Oh well, Gaudi actually tried a bit for this one as I understand it, so yay. Personally, I'm proud that Gaudi typically stands on its own feet. Its a harder stance to take, but its worthwhile. (I understand there were serens/mags at this revolt, but by and large, several of us make it a point not to ask for help- not that we're raided much, thankfully. )
Alliances happen. Nothing new. We can complain about it up and down, and it will never ever change. Or we can try and make IC efforts to minimize the impact of a wildly unfavorable political situation, which is both more practical and more productive. I don't particularly care about the revolt here- its nothing that won't change given time. Its not even really an IC hit- Glom stealing Estelbar from Seren when it had been linked to Seren for years, that was something of an IC hit. Number of times Gaudi has held Dairuchi? Zero. Net change in terms of power/resources/whatever to Gaudiguch for Hallifax taking it? Zero. Dairuchi chose its own path when Gaudiguch opened.
So, can't really begrudge someone for calling down a mega-org for a situation like a revolt (though, I would hope Glom at least tried to take it itself- for the same principles that I'm proud of gaudi standing largely on its own efforts the vast bulk of the time).
But Casi, this just isn't true- I'm on my aero enough to have defended halli territories several times, as well as defending celestia. And you know what made me sad? (especially during the former)-
Gaudi raids air. Before it even goes on CT "we're being attacked", someone's saying on the alliance clan "we need help we have no defenders"... you know, without even asking or seeing who is attacking. Few days later, Gaudi attacks again, and there really are few defenders this time. So I go up and defend and get killed a few times, but made a better showing than I thought I would. Didn't call out for Megadoring, and it wasn't end of the world.
And when I was defending Celestia from Fillin and Co on the same character, there were Hallis on the alliance clan again, saying, quite literally, "we cannot do this without glomdoring!"
So, while alliances are largely inevitable, I don't begrudge taking advantage of an inevitable situation. But lets not pretend the response is coincidental.

Psychedlic aura, how I love thee. I would love thee more if you actually worked, fired, procced.. That whole revolt and all that fighting and multiple people with the aura up... and not once in my log did it fire for any of us on anyone.
Looks like its time for a twelve page forum thread, Greg.

The fix for Treant and the cloud coils has been posted. I may as well release 1.35 with what I have, anyway, since I'm too pre-occupied to get the new skills added in and people who have volunteered to send the XML have not done so yet. But, hey, what more do you want for free?
Thank you.

It's interesting to see that someone's need to Win is so high that they abuse an obviously blatant bug by using a skill in a skillset that no longer exists so the very fact they have the ability to use the skill means something is wrong.
How the mighty fall?
How the mighty fall?
They used the weapons at their disposal. If gaudi had an ascendant of any sort, would they have held back? Initially? Would they have held back when it was used against them? Is it a bug? Almost certainly. Is it listed anywhere what exactly Ascendants kept and what they lost? ...I'm not sure! Either way, ultimate lesson for the day?
Gaudiguch needs workers and fighters. Come help Gaudiguch be something cool.

I'm not saying they shouldn't. But...if that's "the problem", which Sidharta and Furien seem to think it is, it's not going away just because of demi nerfs!
I'm not calling anything a Problem, just saying something that I've found annoying. This is not an opinion that I've researched or tried to justify. So yeah.

In before Eventru.
I love revolts in theory, but in practise all I've seen is demi, demi, midbie, demi, lowbie, demi, demi. Win a debate against someone of comparable might, lose one just as quickly to a demi. This annoys me more than whatever the organisational situation might be.

I'm not at all demi, and do little to maximize my ego and charisma, and I still win debates against demigods from time to time. Sure, it makes things easier to be high leveled, but one on one, it is entirely possible to win, even against demigod faelings.

Using an ability that is supposedly deleted is most definitely a no-no.

Question: Which skill is Gregori referencing?
If it's Fearaura, Sojiro still has it because he's a Death True Ascendant.
If Destruction, Ceren still has it because he's War.
If Affinity, Xiel still has it because he's Nature.
And... I don't think anybody knows what Soll has, since the old Life skill was a Cult skill, heh.
If something else, well... who knows. Once of the biggest would be aegis which I think nobody should have access to at this point.
With the details provided (using a skill in a deleted skillset) this is all I can think of that he is referring to, though. Unless someone naughty is exploiting a bug.

No, actually, they shouldn't have access to them. It'll be fixed soon though.

Here's to hoping I can get on with my real life now, and not have to worry about receiving 40 text messages a day from various people while I'm at work, while I'm not around for the 3 hours I am every few days, about how the drama llama is doing or what the trolls are being fed. Not my concern anymore, let me have my peace of mind. Go annoy Chixsanga.

Seems to me that sending unwanted text messages regarding game stuff might actually be breaking the Harassment rules in a major way and be Issuable.

Just one of the very many reasons to avoid methods of communication that aren't directly linked to the game.

Honestly, the only way to prevent that from happening is to not give your cell phone number out, or you WILL get woken up for a 3am revolt, or when the hits the fan in your guild. Perspective or not, someone isn't thinking "It's just a game, we shouldn't wake up/bother (person)"; they're thinking "Craaaaaaaaaaaap where's (person)?! SOMEONE GET AHOLD OF THEM NOW!"
Noola2010-08-01 16:53:40
I almost wish I were a combatant so that someone would think to call me during a raid so they could call me and then get frustrated when all they got was my machine cause the phone ringing is not enough to wake me up when I'm asleep. Then, the next day, I could giggle at their vmail rage. And totally not even feel bad about giggling cause WTF were you calling me in the middle of the night over something so dumb anyway?

I do not think the administration can intervene because they
1. Would have a hard time gathering proof
2. Not be able to link a telephone number to a player.
Best preventive is not to give your number, and if they already have it just not respond or block the number.

If people didn't do this, how would Shuyin be able to wake up for raids and revolts?

That's... really sad... The only time I ever text people about the game is when something happened I know they would want to know about, when they're unable to get online for an extended period of time. Otherwise I just figure if they're not online, they're doing RL stuff, and RL > text game.
Anyway tweet only some people will get: who's next? Greean?

Xenthos has access to my personal cell that is only meant to be used for Lusternia, it's also attached to a collar around my neck that gives me a mild electric shock to notify me that I am needed.
