Chamber of the Queen of Queens. (Master Complex.)
The shadowy outline of a twisted forest casts a dark gloom here. This large chamber has walls made up completely of glass providing an amazing view of the hive below from this height. The ceiling above is a glass dome supported by black metal frames that allows light from the pulsing ceiling to fill the chamber. The floor is made of meticulously polished marble that is decorated with black stones arranged in intricate, swirling designs. At the centre of the chamber is a large, circular table made of gleaming black stone that is decorate with a symbol of gold at its centre. Surrounding the table are eight thrones each of which are unique, and at the same time equal in elegance. Each throne is made from a solid, golden wax encrusted with precious gems and decorated with complex runic carvings. Faint psionic activity reaches up from the hive and quietly winds its way through the room. There are 4 kephera warriors here. There are 2 kephera attendants here. Zenobia the Queen of Queens reclines imperiously here, her compound eyes alight with an inner fire.
You see a single exit leading down.
Zenobia the Queen of Queens exclaims, "An enemy of our empire, in our presence? We think not!"

Zenobia the Queen of Queens lowers her head in concentration. A cone of psychic energy flows from her chest, intermingling with searing bolts of lightning that send you into spasms.
Your magic tome warms as it absorbs damage.
The force field around you flares, absorbing all damage.
You gasp as a headache cleaves into your skull like an axe.
You've burned out your psionic ability.
You have been slain by Zenobia the Queen of Queens.
You come back into focus as the blur illusion vanishes.
You become visible once more.
Within the blink of an eye, your phantom armour dissipates into the aether.
As your soul leaves your body, the elixir vitae courses through your spirit and suddenly bursts in a bright light, forming a new body around your soul.

I learned today that Zenobia is hostile, and she hits for 11k+ damage. If you need to be unenemied to the Kephera...ask someone to do it for you.
Shiri2010-04-27 13:54:23
Or go to Imhohet, if some bastard taintling hasn't killed her at the time.
Ixchilgal2010-04-27 13:58:02
Imhohet? I was told for ages I need Zenobia! Bah.
Shiri2010-04-27 13:58:31
Yeah, I'm about 95% sure you can still get bailed out from Imhohet, so.
Ixchilgal2010-04-27 14:00:16
Hrm....will try her, then. Y'know, after I get brave enough to leave my manse again.

Siiilly. What's with the double UPs? >.>
Ardmore2010-04-27 16:20:09
Weird, she didn't aggro on me when I walked into her room. I just accidentally swung, and got massacred.

I wasn't paying attention to how far up path I was, so I was just spamming directions until I stopped, then moving onto the next. >.>

They made it so because having to raise Zenobia for unenemy status to the Kephera would be lunacy.

Having to raise a queen is silly enough.

King Imhatatep for amnesty, please.

Would be weird on an RP level to have a male basically speaking for the Empire, though.

Both the illithoid and the kephera require a resurrection quest to be unenemied (yes, Cthoglogg has a resurrection quest - it was bugged for a very long time, but it works properly now).

Can we kill Zenobia?
She is giving all those icky kephs a combat boost.
And Imhohet doesn't require a quest when she's up now!

Yep! And while Zenobia is alive, Imhohet should respawn (as should all the Queens). And, if the web is wounded but not destroyed, it will eventually restore itself (much as Cthoglogg has always became invulnerable again after a period of time). And, if an orb is weakened and the Queen is alive, you can redo the Elixir of the Mind quest to restore the orb.

But... but... we can't...
You're such a tease.
