Are you positive it's a RL day? That seems a bit overkill; it was about five hours to reset from dropping the Flame Warriors to releasing the armours.
Yeah, it's at that much or more. When Ixion first banished the flame warriors, 24 hours later when I tried to do it Thorgan was still weakened. Ixion hadn't released the suits at that time.
Although I think it is the actual banishing of the flame warriors/suits that gives the actual weakening to Thorgan/Ethildora (this is where he says "I'm too weak I can't do the Blessing".
Also I don't know what excuse Ethildora gives (if she does have any).
Eventru2010-05-15 07:03:03
It looks to be about twelve hours (with 8 hours or so remaining).
Aramel2010-05-15 14:26:18
On a totally unrelated note, what relation is Ethildora to Ethilwen?

Aww, I was kind of hoping for spurned lover. It's not quite as "dwarven soap opera" without some random weird angle like that.
Sylphas2010-05-16 01:42:37
And orcs on top of the armour, joyous day.

I think I had Ethilwen and Thoril as spurned lovers in some story at one point. I remember describing it as "a love story with dwarves" and someone asking for brain bleach, heh. No Ethildora in there, though. Blasted events putting old things out of canon.

It might be nice if the armours spawned further apart, so there is at least some chance they won't cluster into clots of 11-15.

This. Tae'dae with fullplate can't survive a smackdown from a stack of 15.

I'd much prefer being able to target one or both villages. I feel kind of bad for Rockholm!
Rika2010-05-16 04:22:23
Oh, even better, -concentrated- griefing.

To be fair, Glom didn't start it!

Why even waste your time typing something that is so utterly devoid of any meaning?

Conflict quests striking all sides is a balancing act: see Soulforge, TBC, etc. More prevalent now that there are more orgs, too. You do one of them, chances are you're inconveniencing your allies at least as much (if not more) than your enemies.

Still ridiculous, still needs nerfed. I don't at this point care in the least about getting the flame warriors up, I just want the armour gone, but it's looking to be impossible unless we have a dozen people working on it and babysitting the entire Chancel the entire time.

Need I point out the time when Serenwilde camped Stewartsville just to make sure Glomdoring doesn't get to resurrect Crow?
And yeah, I think the main reason we put up the armour is to stop ***people*** from raiding Angkrag daily at 4am or something and taking all the miners when no one is around. Well, people are around - but Kregarn/Svorai/Miciah can't really do much against two Ascendant melders.
Esano2010-05-16 10:27:34
It's more aggravating where the counterquest is buggy, in such a way that it can't be fixed without admin intervention if you hit the bug.
Eventru2010-05-16 10:56:19
I will quite quickly lock the thread and bump warn levels if it turns into a "well, remember that time 6 years ago when your org did x? Yea, this is payback." "WHAT ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO WHEN YOU DID Y?" "That was payback for what your org did z." "That was just pre-emptive payback for when I slapped your sister." "That was why I mac'ed on your mother at the Halloween Ball two years ago."
Etcetera.
Etcetera.
Rika2010-05-16 11:18:15
So... nerf the effects of this quest please.
Unknown2010-05-16 12:15:53
What does the quest do, aside from stopping miner conversion and placing high-level aggressive mobs in the area? Does it affect production, like orcs do?
