That's what I was saying... slightly retroactive, missing a lot of data that was not previously being recorded.
Xavius2010-05-20 19:44:16
It would be interesting to see Aesyra's data fully retroactive, having gotten demigod back before things like buffed astral links, Catacombs, Muud, UV, and...well, most any high end bashing, really.

What I'd give for that old school astral, with gold drops on every mob, and no insanity. dribble.gif

I wonder how long it takes to reach level 100 through a fairly typical combination of bashing, influencing, and aetherhunting?

Perhaps 1,000 hours of pure effort? Felicia has almost exactly 300 hours of playtime, and is nearly level 80. A large chunk of those online hours have been spent buying stuff, questing, writing, configuring the client, chatting, being a clueless newbie, reading help files, or even idling while I read the forums here/make some coffee/whatever. So, I'd say... 120 hours of bashing at most, 20-30 of those probably sub-optimal (probably still sub-optimal, actually).

The biggest challenge for me isn't the grind (and it's been explained to me in detail just how much the curve increases past 80, at 98, and at 99), but rather the uncertainty of having a non-cleared bashing ground available. I'm sure this keeps a lid on out-of-control gold inflation and overly-ambition bashers, though, so while it annoys me, I'm also glad the scarcity is there.

I didn't notice a curve, personally, until I hit level 99. I blew through levels. 99 killed me.
And there are tons of places to hunt, plenty that I've suggested in a previous post towards you.

I noticed a big jump right at 74, but it's been steady since then all told. I'm sure it does get crazy at 99.

And yes, I know you have; you suggested Mount Zoaka, the Observatory, and Tosha Monastery. I remember and I definitely appreciate the advice. People clear those out too, though, believe me. First trip to Mount Zoaka, I thought I was in the wrong area (apparently it had recently been cleared); second trip, competition was already there when I arrived.

I said uncertain, not impossible. smile.gif

Yeah, I know it's against your e-honour to bash places people are already occupying but you should look past that. Poke Ardmore one day and maybe he'll take you hunting.

Not likely, but maybe.

I hated bashing before I had demi. Now I like it. It is relaxing.

I assume the upcoming changes will make me hate it again.
Unknown2010-05-21 02:57:23
It's more like you shouldn't bash for any long stretch of time like say 24 hours or in intense 1 hour bursts. You end up hating life afterwards.

I mean oh god, I won the death event like 2-3 years ago, and I still haven't gotten quite over the burnout.
Ardmore2010-05-21 03:10:46
Wussy.

I'm starting to like bashing now as demi. It's a bit easier for me now, the only reason as I've been dying over the past few days is my connection. My goodness, all those essence wasted. losewings.gif

It totally is something when it's one of the most stressful experiences of your e-life. Seal events are Serious Business ™.

Most likely divinefire related ones. Clearly we need to turn it into a demigod, and thus a weaker version of ascendant destruction. (Restricted to mobs, I suppose and un-customizable?)

There was no double post.
