Because you don't own that so much as you lease it, and they don't like you spending OOC tokens on things that aren't really yours.

The Amorphous Blob

-Transforms into a random dingbat arti once per Lusternian month.

Oh yeah, minus a torus, unless it's a torus without special exits I guess.

That seems too stable, especially if you end up with something really useful. Maybe make it every IC day.

You'd get a lot of dingbat dolls to dilute it.
Krellan2010-06-06 20:26:28
Stable? It's not an option for it to change once a month. It forcefully changes every month.

I know. That was merely my opinion, especially since there's not even a pitch at the projected cost! You are certainly free to disagree with me.

A pair of interconnecting gateway thingies (needs a better name)
PLANT GATEWAY to open the gateway in a room. (only the owner of the manse can do this)
ENTER GATEWAY to enter through to the other gate. Allows travel from one manse to another.

I've been wanting this since Valonah has a manse and I have a manse and we want them connected, but we don't want to destroy one and put them together. Plus we like owning our own and having all the privledges. Traveling to the aetherplex and into the other manse just doesn't have the same feel.

A set of dingbat-thingies that enhance the trades. In a nutshell, a tradesperson uses this item to add a special "emote" message that is strictly attached to the item. Corny, but just another way to personalize.

CHEF: Bottle of Sparkleberry Syrup
TAILOR: Spool of Varrigated Thread
JEWELER: Polishing Cloth of Super Shine
ARTISAN: erh...

POUR SYRUP ON
Eating food prepared with this syrup will give produce an aftertaste of sparkleberry 10s after ingestion. Also, BELCH emote is temporarily changed to "You let out a massive belch, breath reaking of sparkleberry."

SEW THREAD IN
DOFF HOOD will now "You doff the hood of cordially." The colour of the thread will be dependant upon the wearer's organization. For example, Glomdoring would be "You doff the sable-threaded hood of cordially."

EDIT: Alright.... maybe I butchered that idea royally. But I think I get my point across about offering dingbat items to add pizzaz to each trade.
Sylphas2010-06-08 04:11:33
Dingbat arti that can pick up items from other people, like Giallyn can? Maybe an addon for the dirigible?
Unknown2010-06-08 12:03:13
That's kinda what the Cube of Relocation does, though the person has to be holding your cube for it to work. The idea was, though, that you could hand or deliver the cube to them and they could keep giving you stuff, like for those annoying events where you have to collect dozens of corpses/items.

But then you still have to get the cube back. It's a really really clunky implementation of it. Waiting for arti reset is lame.

It's a fun twist on the same idea, making it useful in a different set of situations. If it was a simple opposite of the dirigible, it'd be boring. smile.gif

Freeze gun!

I'll settle for a half-melted popsicle at this point.

I was expecting a Doctor Who reference. sad.gif

I haven't seen the show, only heard about it (and the sonic screwdriver) from friends...but who's to say a time-based screwdriver that plot-devices yourself into a more favorable situation ISN'T a veiled reference?
Dugan2010-06-08 23:31:18
I don't really care much for the dingbats myself. I got one of the dolls once, but thats about it.
Unknown2010-06-09 11:49:21
If you had LOTS of dingbats, you might care. Bubblixes are awesome, goggles are cool, and the Sparkatron is fun at parties.
Xavius2010-06-09 16:44:53
I dream of owning a torus some day, but they're so expensive.
Unknown2010-06-09 16:47:44
For someone with a cubix, it's better to just get five bubblixes instead.
