So, we have a certain category of artifacts: one revolving around divine orders/patrons. So far we have:

-Symbol of the Gods
-Font of the Gods
-Prayer Beads

These are all really cool artifacts But I had a couple ideas for them:

1. Font of the Gods: Add a command to DRINK FONT or DRINK FROM FONT. This would allow only the owner of the Font to gain a special bonus. I was thinking a custom entry exit message customizable by your divine (Example: Arel enters from the southwest, trailing a shroud of glimmering twilight.) The effect would last for a Lusternian day and could only be done once per month. The other idea I had for that was that the Font could give you +1 (weighted) stat based on your divine, though I don't know how feasible that is.

2. Offering Bonus: Owning any items from the divine artifact series of arties would give you a bonus to your essence offerings (Example: +25% for one item, +50% for two items, +75% for three items). Not sure about the numbers, just something to start off with.

So I've got a font, symbol and (now) prayerbeads, along with the special order item you get when you're in the middle circle of a given order.

I'm thinking there should be some cumulative special 'missionary' bonus on these of some variety, for people who possess the full set. Maybe a boost to essence when offering, though anything with flavour would be good. Maybe give them their own emotes?

Also, the font seems to only do the one thing: offer from anywhere. This is handy, but I'm not sure it should cost MORE than a symbol. One suggestion to improve it was that DRINK FONT could be used to do something, maybe add a divine stat blessing once per lusternian day or an aura that people see when you walk through rooms unshrouded.

The whole thing is mainly flavour improvements for those super-devout people who happen to want to be closely affiliated with their order and patron.

Another idea was special emotes for each. Brandish symbol, rub beads, and drink font.
Maybe giving divine blessings when used.

Really, just some special emotes for flavour and something like an offerings boost or essence cost reduction would be awesome.

Oh, and it'd be nice if we got an emote for the order arties upon entering middle circle like the shroud/pendant/mask/etc, though that might just fall under general emotes for orders.

I just wish I had some way of getting the Font/Symbol, let alone what they do.

Those sound awesome! I'd love something like that! Especially the custom enter/exit. I want any item that will make my RP cooler.

I doubt you'll get the custom entry/exit messages. People have been clawing for this for Ascendants, Demigods, and Avatars, and it is summarily shot down every time.

They shut it down because letting players pick their own is too much of an infringement on the Divine "cool-stuffs".

They've been considering allowing Demigods to purchase from a pre-defined stock supply though... which would mean that one based upon the God (with the God's choice as to what it looks like) might also be fine.

I'd personally like to see more perks for order membership that aren't artifacts. There was a whole thread with suggestions that have all gone nowhere, and we still have to deal with affinity.

I would too, but the artifacts are there and it would probably be easier for them to slap a new effect on them than code in new perks. Plus, it is good marketing. The Beads aren't really that useful, but having an offering bonus might generate more sale of them.

Ongaku's got his Morgfyre fanboi set and none of it is customized. >< I might have to get them all customized with my own credits just so they don't look like everyone else's.

I really would like to see a few extra perks added for them, like increased essence from offering with the Font if you have affinity or something. There's so much to punish people for not having affinity, but there's very little to reward people that do have affinity.

And Ongaku you might be able to convince Morgfyre (I really have no idea) to let you design them for him, if he has nothing in mind.

I've prayed to him about it (then again, I've prayed to him about quite a few things lately) and haven't heard anything back. I know he's active! Though I imagine he's also busy. But I would totally design them for him!

Some of these (like higher planar communication) are (at least current) cult skills - so they're already there. Illusions in shrine rooms is really lacklustre imo - if you want rituals or something, your god can certainly have them put into their temple/realm. The baton suggestion for a guild rite equivalent also exists in cults, so it's already there. Same with scrying order members (though it only works for cult members and only the ascendant can do it - they can also see everything that person sees). I dislike anything that can be described as 'summon x from fixed location y for a b and c modified length of time', personally - it'll never be used, because of teleport/tesseract/summon - and it certainly wouldn't ignore planar restrictions. endurance/willpower regen can be achieved with furniture in an order temple, can it not? And there's so much esteem floating about already, I (personally) don't think it'd be a good idea to boost the value of them.

Didn't mean to ramble so much. Not to sound like a nay-sayer, heh - certainly, at least you're thinking! I think we'd be happy to consider any cult-oriented suggestions, while we look towards that in the relatively near future. Any others?

I was hoping for perks for being in an order, not perks for being an ascendant, of which there will be much fewer in the future. If you don't have one in your order, your order gets nothing? It would be really, really nice to have a use for shrines beside as a weapon for the commune, honestly. Hell, even if you tie cult powers to shrines it would be a start, since apparently only cults are on the list to get anything. Affinity kicked orders in the balls, and it would be nice to see positive incentives to join instead of incentives NOT to join.

We've already stated a thousand times over that cults will no longer be the (sole) province of Ascendants, and instead it will belong to Avatars. I trust every god with an order has an Avatar - we've over a hundred active players to pick from!

And I fairly disagree with your assessment of Affinity, however I'd prefer we not start a discourse on it.
