I actually agree with you on this. If talking mobs into giving you their gold is worth xp, it makes no less sense for other significant creative acts to be worth xp too. I wouldn't say any production or publications, but any prestige publication or winning production should be worth something personal. I don't think xp on par with three hours pewpewing dragons is out of line for something given out one and a half times per IC year.

I support this. More incentives to attract people into exploring the other aspects of the game!

yearly or once every two years figurine battle events. Each org gets X amount of competitors. Then we, FFA style via orgs. Then orgs in the meantime can choose how to decide which figurines get to compete.

While part of my mind is thinking of all the ways this would be gamed, even as I type this, I'm 20 minutes past the start of a play with 50% of the cast having not shown up, begging random passersby to take over a role, and musing on how we always end up missing at least one person. So maybe I shouldn't disagree!

I think requiring winning would make it difficult enough to game, especially since it's still quicker to just go aetherbashing.

Maybe instead of always having to do avant-garde styles because of being unable to get four people to show up at once, I'd be able to do musicals with big production numbers because of having ten people who want to be in the play at one time!

Aetherbashing needs to be significantly better than normal bashing because if wasn't, or if it was only slightly better based on the number of people involved, why would anyone spend credits for it? Some people still would, but it would be pretty rare I think.
Has anyone suggested though, diminishing returns on aether bashing? Have it still give large amounts of exp, but only the first time you do it within a certain time frame, and have it drop off at a quick and steady rate. In that way, people would still want to do it, but it could stop being the demigod/essence factory it is now.

That might have merits but only if it has the right time limitations. There still wouldn't be a point to investing in a good ship/lessons in aethercraft if you can only aetherbash once a week for two hours before the returns become negligent.
Also, theoretically everyone in the game has the potential to aetherbash. Everyone could buy their own ship and put a crew together or everyone could convince their organization to invest in a city/commune ship. Not really going to comment on whether or not the xp/essence gain from it is too much, but at least everyone has the ability to access it.

A zero risk possibility of earning experience? Sure. Even if you're not going to be guaranteed to get the EXP (unless you're in one of Lendren's plays), you won't have wasted your time by taking part in a unique and super cool facet of the game.

Make actions like doing commodity quests more worthwhile to higher-level folk like Demigods. Gaining an appropriate amount of xp based on your level doing quests like these would be nice.
