Is the beak balance fast enough for one person to actually peck out both eyes?
it doesn't peck out eyes and after 3 pecks I didn't even get lehki to sip.
It's basically that free headbutt in shofangi.. a little damage and not much else (that I have seen, maybe there is some obsucre chance to eyepeck)

It would be so much more pleasent if the admin would let more viable people in as founders or even just advance them. You know, people who have been guardians, and aren't just looking for the flavour of the week? People who have been around in the city as a guardian?

While that would cut down on the instances of folks doing it just so they can get an honors line or be known as the first person to be guildmaster of this or that guild... it would also be incredibly unfair to someone who really wants to try. I mean, if you only give positions to people who've always had positions, what's the point in anyone else even caring to try for things?

It's irrelevant. I believe the Founders for all the guilds have been picked.

But nobody can join until like... tomorrow?

Any existing members of Gaudiguch/Hallifax can join by approaching the tutors and asking them (using say to) to be enrolled. If someone's able to do so, they will. You know, polite-like! That is to say, if you make a newbie and run to them, you may not get in, and will need to wait until (tomorrow, hopefully!).

Nice, finally out of novicehood and in a guild again!
Just a few thoughts, dunno if this would be better in a new thread:
- The crystals floating around your head (does it have to be the head specifically? It looks awkward when I imagine it) are spammy in room descs, as previously mentioned. Maybe it could be shortened to 'Spinning around him are beryl, turquoise, ___, and ___ crystals' or 'prismatic/multi-coloured crystals' (unless it's relevant for others to see what you have).
- Our wands are... quite lackluster in appearance. How about 'a spinning amethyst wand' or 'a glowing turquoise wand' or 'a sapphire wand crackling with light' (rough unoriginal examples). It could be randomized to make things interesting.
All in all I'm pretty excited so far

Looks like this when I imagine it:

Regarding the crystal/flesh harvesting, it's completely up to the guilds how to run them, but it is quite devastating when a fleshpot/master crystal dies, so I doubt they actually want them to run up to high numbers of flesh/gems as it's pretty risky way to store them (just a thought).
One recommendation is to keep the number of harvesters relatively small and then buy the tutor upgrade and have the tutors sell the flesh/gems to guild members. Or not! It's up to the guild leaders and I believe leaders are being chosen soon so we'll see how it plays out.

Cool idea, never thought of that. Just thought we'd have to hope people wouldn't strip the spheres.

Is there a conflict mechanic in place like Nil/Celestia, where you can turn bodies from one into the other for power or mobs?

Huh, that could work out well! Nifty thing.

This is actually a decent idea. Though in Gaudiguch it takes an entire city 10 years to raise 1.5 million gold. I fear the Illuminati would have had 3 leadership changeovers before they got enough for a guild tutor shop.

250 credits are cheap.

Gaudi should have another wet t-shirt contest to raise money, and a wakabi-roast, or even a wakabi-wash.
Noola2010-06-27 20:29:59

My aides and me have been running simple ones. We'll be restarting them once this is all settled, bit too busy at the moment.

Ugh. I really wish the guild was open. I would like to be playing right now for the first time in a long time and starting to put a dent in the upcoming newbie time.

Or combine the two. Wet wakabi contest!

Hmm.. You know, if you're really interested in these ideas you could take this up IC, I tend to listen to people's ideas.
