A shop ledger. Please. If you have a shop ledger, you can go to the stockrooms of any shops you own and type SHOPLOG ## to see a list of who's purchased how many of what and at what price per (And if a price policy altered the price, append the policy number also.). Would be fantastic for shopkeeping. I think it would be better as a general artifact, but if it was some kind of gnomish machine that could work too.

It would not be as much if it did not see through marauder masks and masquerade (being able to see that an illusion is an illusion 100% of the time and dispel illusions 3x would not be worth 1000).

Being able to see an illusion is an illusion 100% of the time would pretty much screw over psionics; you're going to have trouble achieving much without distracting curing via illusions. And depending on what 'dispell' you're given - critique? - trans+ dispell? - it could cost quite a bit.
And marauder's masks don't need to be even more unused.

Laugh at me if you must, but if they made a Knife of Totem Carving (so I could carve elders into totems) I would buy it just to be able to get it done instead of doing twice as much work tracking them and then trying to lure a druid to them to carve. (Especially if I could keep secret that I bought one.) To make it more useful, make it also so it only costs 4p to carve with the knife, so even druids might want one.
