Telephone of Gaga-Let's you hear and be heard from everywhere on all aethers

Just saying, since ascendance is gonna get deleted.

I wouldn't mind some beast upgrades either.

Something to upgrade your beast's level. 13 is currently the max. But levels are nice for extra beast health, beast mana, beast ego.

Something to increase total amount of beast trains you can have.

Something to just increase the h/m/e or singular stat of a beast

Spectacles of the Hamhadi - These goggles are affixed with lenses of various magnifications, allowing the wearer to see things more clearly.
Allows the wearer to SUCCOR as if he were a healer. If the wearer is already a healer, SUCCOR will return the target's mana and ego in addition to their health and afflictions.

Commandant's Medal - any squad led by the wearer will generate power at a much faster rate.

Commandant's Sash - The experience division for members of a squad led by the wearer will be treated as if there were one fewer person than there is. (Ie: instead of 33-33-33, the members will earn 50-50-50, etc.)

Commandant's Shoulderknot - A squad led by the wearer will generate 5% extra gold when divided.

Communications Relay - Attach to an empathic grid, allows the empath to hail and return hails even if he or she does not posses the skill in aethercraft. Those who do posses this skill will find that certain actions no longer consume grid balance (Covey, join, planarbond, and hailing no longer take grid balance)

Aetheric Beacon - allows the owner to TELEPORT BEACON for 1 power, which teleports them to the room where the beacon was dropped. This teleportation is subject to the same restrictions as teleporting to another player. The beacon automatically resets after 1 month, or can be reset sooner by doing BEACON RESET while in the room with the beacon.

Already have a monocle for the former. I wouldn't mind the milestone-esque beacon though.

Another Divine Order related artifact (i.e. like the beads, symbol, font)

This one would reduce shrine powers by 25% of their -essence- cost

Alternatively add this as a function to the Symbol of the Gods which only does it for karma.

Aethership Upgrade: One time use, increases the memory of your algontherine and allows it to store one additional flashpoint
Krellan2010-07-07 06:30:03
Aethership Health Diamonut - Can have this in levels 1, 2, 3. Attaches to the shield orb, grid, command chair whatever. Doesn't stack. Increases the hull by X percentages.

This will allow for tankier ships without sacrificing speed.

Diamonut For Turrets - Increases the accuracy and range of said turret across the board (i.e. at ranged shooting and close up shooting)

Aetherspace Ledger - similar to the merchant's ledger but shows it for gnome ships instead.

Artifact that works exactly like an ignite enchantment

Artifact that works exactly like a geyser enchantment

Repeat for various other enchantments for which there are no artifacts for. These would not be permanent unless they are the kingdom, mercy, beauty, perfection ones. You would have to use them in some way and consume equilibrium.

People love their permanent enchantments (Xenthos).

An artifact to increase Karma gained by 25% and decrease karma lost by 25%

An artifact which decreases karma cost of karma blessings by X % or can reduce upkeep cost of karma blessings or extend the duration of karma blessings or some cominbation.

Another artifact to increase movement speed that would stack with the winged sandals of haste.

An artifact similar to the diamond chalice but it refreshes aetherwill once per month instead.

A Great Rune of Mana which reduces mana consumption by X %

Lots of neat ideas, but some of them are just.. goodness way too strong.
Krellan2010-07-07 07:55:41
Oh definitely, but hey I want an auction so we must do our part to make it come! Besides, it's better than the grow your own sparkleberry artifacts.

Artifact similar to the Hourglass diamonut except this would be a rune that worked personally. Doubles the amount of power you draw at a time. Can exclude coning/starlink/darklink/halli and gaudi clones. So one draw from a nexus, gaudi/halli, or astral node will fill up 2% reserves

Looking for ideas for non-dingbat artifacts.

I know we have said in the past that we wouldn't have stat items but that was before buff and DMP modifications (see HELP BUFFS and HELP DMP). Do you think that has changed things enough that we should consider allowing artifacts that give, for example, a +1 buff to a stat or even a +10 DMP? Not sure I think so but just thought I'd canvas opinions.

I would say that a DMP or resistance to element artifact would be better than a stat buff, only because of the lopsided availability of artifacts already out there. Stat buffs help the attrition classes, like warriors and monks, more than the rest, and warriors and monks already have the best offensive artis. You might also consider level 1 eq artifacts, since our speed differences aren't so major, and that would be an offensive boost for the caster classes. Then we might actually be able to compare apples to apples with artied vs. unartied fighters in different classes! happy.gif

An artifact that either decreases the effect of drunkenness or increases your effective drunkenness level for brews and dwarf/dracnari would be fun too!

Yes, aldar diadems for faster eq chokes, crucifies, and more, woooooooooo.
Krellan2010-07-07 08:55:53
If we're doing Faster EQ recovery artifacts, let's classify them as special weapon runes like the shield, grip, superior enchantment rune.

Psychic elemental damage weapon rune

Special pyramid with increased # of points that can be set

Elemental special weapon runes that will convert 1/3 of your main damage attack to a damage source based on the elemental rune you buy.

Artifact to eliminate loss of proficiency in aetherskills. We have access to all the skills, we should be able to learn all of the ship things because you can't always have the same crew. And the saying goes, if you don't use it, you lose it. It shouldn't be if you use something else, you lose it.

I'm sure demi's would buy a custom exit/entrance message unless that's part of end game review.

It's pretty tough to not get too OP or encroach on other skillsets when we're trying to avoid devastingly OP arties and people want their skillsets to keep their utility special. Not to mention orgbixes exist which are probably the best artifact ever especially the being free part.

Special pyramid with increased # of points that can be set

Upgradable artifacts like this would kick ass. Maybe the ability to buy another point for your puzzle for 100cr? 125cr per point is the same price as just buying a second puzzle, but it's easier to work with just one and maybe you don't need another four points, just one.
Krellan2010-07-07 09:06:25
agreed, I've been thinking of just buying a second pyramid, but that would also be a hassle to manage two of them with the same syntaxes.
Shaddus2010-07-07 09:07:27
Anti-choke ring.

Yeah, that's all I got.

I posted some code for zMUD somewhere on the forum once which handles this automatically, so any number of puzzles work like one big one (though you have to customize them to make it work so it can tell them apart). It also integrated with the zMUD mapper, and I know no one else uses zMUD anymore, but the point is, a few triggers and variables can do the job fairly easily with a little coding.

I like the idea of an item that reduces the cost of skillflexing, but I think the way it was presented (eliminates it, for all skills) is too powerful. How about if you buy one for each skillset and it reduces or eliminates the cost of activating that skillset particularly? (Or you just buy one and attune it to that skillset, then you can buy a second one for another, etc.)

Definitely want the "speak all mortal languages" thing, possibly as a changeling cameo upgrade.

Since I just had to renew my ad, it reminded me: An artifact that makes an ad permanent. Or at least some way to extend ads instead of having to recreate them all the time.

-wet blanket- No thanks on the faster eq stuff, plz. Though I'd love it personally, I'd rather not open up possible considerations for future faster eq arties (think, psi balance).

I wouldn't mind seeing those manse arties someone suggested awhile back though! You know, the ones that have a limit on x-times per IC day/month where you shove in say, a rockeater and pop out some gems commodities.

And, not meaning to neuter Tracking, but I'd like say...a box of pranks. A box containing 3 - 5 each of some of the more harmless traps in the Tracking skillset that the owner of the box can set to be based off of their own enemy list. Replenishes say, once an IC month and once set, you can't remove/replace them unless they're triggered or whatnot. I figure the stink trap, legsnare and deadfall traps aren't that big a deal to see around, and they can even be given a funky flavour thing for a message instead of the usual falling anvil. Think: the hilarity of monkeys throwing iron poo or a trip wire!

Or maybe a tool of all-around deconstruction! Use it on the design tradeskills to smelt/melt/dismantle/deconstruct random things for part of their original commodity outlay. I would not mind getting one at all to deconstruct my extra kegs or random novice trousers to cover all of my skillflexed trades.

A can of spray paint for the glamours messages in urban areas would be interesting too, I guess, though that'd probably be better off as a dingbat artifact. Even better if the terrain limitation was lifted too!

Oh, OH. For us trademasters - how about like...a passport that lets the owner be part of another organization's cartel! Has to be approved by the Ambassador/leader of the org you're trying to be a part of, and you can't contest the TM position or anything, but once approved, you'll have access to the org cartel designs no matter if you hop from Artisan to Bookbinding to whichever. Of course, this passport can be revoked with both the Ambassador/leader's approval at any time.

Maybe a manse stable artifact for those of us who'd rather not pay for org stable fees continuously (and forgetting, half the time)?

Speaking of beasts (and auctions), how about a bid for the next beast released! I mean, it's been some time, and if an auction were made just to be able to choose what kind of beast would be able to be released next would be dandy, I'd think, for someone to bid on.

And, just in case I wasn't greedy enough, how about some gloves of basic enchanting? Wear them, be able to enchant statues and paintings as if you had the Spellcraft ability yourself! If you had the skill yourself, could speed up/halve the power cost of making enchanted statues (if there was one) too.

And..I'm running out of ideas. Bedtime!

Pretty sure the comms were mine. I'll go find the post...
