I enjoy the passive 50 bleeding from my bloodstone, also.

Seriously, how does this stuff even happen. Ever?

Edit: to clarify, I'm not calling our admin incompetent, but weird things like these do make me wonder.

Honestly, the problem is that people who are good combatants rarely end up being Divine. The admin really need someone, during the testing phase, to go "Wtf? Really?"

Its like why the Star Wars prequels turned out so terrible. If you see the backstage stuff, no one was willing to tell George Lucas that something was stupid. Its obvious in some of the videos--George is talking and everyone is listening, and you can hear that what he's saying makes no sense, and you can see on their faces that they don't think it makes sense... but no one is saying anything.

I imagine that is what the divine skill testing is like. Someone comes up with an idea "Hey, 70 damage bite." and no one says a word, even though its pretty blatantly a bad idea.
Shamarah2010-07-04 07:45:39
It actually seems quite likely that they made that skill intentionally weak, at least to start. Releasing an underpowered skill is much less of a problem than releasing an overpowered skill. Obviously they undershot it by quite a lot, but such is life sometimes.

Also, you clearly don't know who Charune's mortal was if you think none of the gods were fighters.

One thing to note about foresight..

From: Charune, the Horned One

Subj: Dodging Report and Necroscream Change

A few changes:

o The shrine protection power no longer directly dodges attacks, but now
acts like quicksilver in increasing chance to dodge against melee
classes. It also has a chance to reduce mob damage.

o SpiritGuard (WildArrane) no longer dodges player attacks directly, but
has a chance to reduce player damage like it had been doing for mobs.

o FamiliarGuard(Ecology) no longer dodges attacks but instead has a
chance to shrug poisons for the Ecology user.

o The formula for Carillonknell(Necroscream) has been changed, and it
also does mana and ego damage.

Penned by My hand on the 13th of Shanthin, in the year 227 CE.

We had a report to move all forms of dodging that wasnt acrobats. Can the administration please respect these attempts and change foresight. Having not only another dodge but it is superior to hyperactive (doesnt care if you can see the attack or if you are prone) for 0 cost and it lasts for quite awhile. Please change this.

As for badluck.. its like uncurable stupidity on crack. Please balance this out so illuminati can hope to see real strategies (removing badluck will make them seem less insane is the theory).

Other than that, lots of changes I think, and Shamarah is right, its easier to buff to useful than nerf to balanced.

And every other rezz skill >>>>> Heartstone >> Fleshpots.

I accidentally discovered why Heartstone is an amazing rez skill.
Esano2010-07-14 22:36:16
I'm 99% sure that if the person starts praying, heartstoning them will just move you both to the Portal of Fate (at least, that's where I used to end up when I was avatarrezzed while praying).
