How does the views of each city/commune differ?

Also you don't seem to actually have a secret society yet. I know a lot of people in the Illuminati are trying to come up with something for them to keep secret.

That really doesn't reflect what some people within the city think. Pretty much every election I've seen since moving to Gaudi has had the substance of "Kalin is a corrupt dictator who is unjustly controlling the city with his cronies" (paraphrasing). And the words "plots" and "backstabbing" have been thrown about more than "let's party!", at least from just what I've seen.

Not entirely the same as the Illuminati being the "secret" sect, sure, but still. Somebody's clearly seeing something to that effect, true or not. laugh.gif

Glomdoring was slowly improving around the time Sidd started playing, they were still losing pretty badly, but there was definite improvement, which I could see since you know, I was part of the force that hammered down on Glom fairly frequently.

Then I moved from SW because I honestly thought they'd be fine without me, since I kind of expected them to be able to carry their momentum for a long time while I got to experience another side to the game and renew my interest, since I was getting a bit bored with Lusternia by then. Not to mention, I had started getting tired of a few people in SW and that I have this super bad messiah complex that gets its kicks from helping downtrodden orgs out.

I really don't think I alone saved Glomdoring, heh, I joke about it often, but it really was the current population of Glom, both new and old, which helped make it what it is today. All I did was speed up the process.

P.S. I like Aloysha's blurb.

Getting bored over there yet? wink.gif

I'm hoping for some sort've big political shake-up, but I don't see it happening in the near future.
Everiine2010-07-12 04:04:34
Hopefully not, the current political set up just recently came into existence. They usually last a while until something happens that makes them fall apart.

Erm, it took the hai'Gloh/Xion event to break long-standing game alliances (Celenwilde and Magnadoring). While it was awesome on the surface...I really don't think we're quite ready for another event on that level. ninja.gif

Ah, I do miss the days of easily constructed and deciphered portmanteau alliance monikers.
Ileein2010-07-12 16:14:41
Selegoraguch and Celeglomifax!
Noola2010-07-12 16:18:37
Glomalliest and Magnerenguch.
Jack2010-07-12 16:21:47
Gaudigorawilde and Halliceloring.
Felicia2010-07-12 16:24:03
Hallidorst and Magrenguch, perhaps?

EDIT: Aw darn, that last is too much like Noola's. losewings.gif
ongaku2010-07-12 16:33:40
laugh.gif I'm rather fond of Gaudigorawilde! happy.gif

Celedorifax vs. Serenagordiguch
Everiine2010-07-12 20:42:06
Alliances come and go for various reasons. The reason it took the hai'Gloh to disrupt the alliances set at the time was because there was no other reason to break them. I've only been here 5 years or so, and I've seen Serenwilde allied with Magnagora more than once, New Celest more than once, and Glomdoring once with a few more almosts on the side. All it takes is the right conditions for politics to shift. It is unfortunate that the only way that could change last time was the hai'Gloh.

I like Celedorifax. laugh.gif

Now, Gaudiguch just needs to solve all its internal problems and move on already. dry.gif

Be nice if people brought up these internal problems so the Council knows about them. wink.gif

I prefer Gaudigorenwilde.

I was mainly referring to the "no one defending Fire" incident that got Chalcedony and Chixsanga a little irritated IG. Is the general "no one cares" attitude still a problem or has it been sorted out?

Actually, I'm probably just seeing things that aren't there. hypnotised.gif

This holds true for Serenwilde as well. Everytime something happens because of something else none of us know about, I want to scream.
Diamondais2010-07-12 20:54:24
Well, the best part is, every time we have an election someone brings up all these problems we have, and when asked why didn't you mention it before? Who are all these people who are saying this? Nobody seems to be able to give an answer! laugh.gif So I've been getting in the habit of saying, well, why don't you say something IC/out loud?

Either way, things takes time and awareness. I know I've missed quite a few calls for help on fire. sad.gif
