If you are a bard and you rune your instrument with a shield rune so it acts as a shield then you get tired of that and you decide to switch to Mage do you have to pay another 500 cr or even 250 to transfer the rune? No you just keep wielding the instrument and it still does the same job.
It looks retarded, though. Instruments being one handed is dumb.
But that's beside the point, you're right. Warriors need this oh so much more. I was just hoping we'd all get to come along for the ride.

Or what if you had to liquify a weapon (runes and all) down into a single, "special" commodity. You would then need to use this item to reforge into a new weapon which would thereby transfer the runes with it. This process could be extremely costly to power, and have a cool down time associated with it. Not sure how this is better than any other idea out there.... it's just another angle.

Don't you dare suggest liquefying my custom weapons!

I feel with this thread. Fully runed klangaxe, fully runed tahto, almost fully runed hammers, fully runed katana, almost fully runed tahto.
Some way to flex runes would really help, because flexing to a knight spec you have no artied weapons for feels like cutting off your arm if you're used to fighting with arties.
