So, Illuminati can't use the Great Rune of Shielding seeing as their 'symbol' is worn rather than wielded?

what is an auronidion particle worth nowdays? and what can it be used for?

600/700/800? I think you can change your personal title at 500 or so but I might have the wrong number. (My Controls -> Edit Profile)
You can change your title at 501 precisely. I remember someone who thought they could at 500, tried, couldn't, posted that they couldn't, and so could!

Ssaliss gave you a pretty full run down earlier. There wasn't really anything incorrect there.

If I were to give a speech in game that was loosely based off of something from a book. Would that be too OOC? (I would make sure to use in-game terminology that made sense)
Really depends on the source and how loosely it's put across, if you start quoting Harry Potter? No. Pull a line from something slightly less famous? You might get away with it, but there's always the chance that someone else will catch it, if so it can ruin the effect the speech is supposed to have on them. Your best bet is to just go with the general theme of whatever's in the book.
As a general rule I tend to think of the people of Lusty as pretty darn well read, so I know that if I were to just yank something kicking and screaming into my speech or written works it'd be noticed quite easily.

Yeah, you'll see some things that if you haven't read where it comes from, you'd think "How cool is that!" Example being the Shofangi bridge.

I can think of a half dozen things they might be thinking of, and I wouldn't be surprised if different people have different ones in mind.

I don't know where the Bridge is from. All it makes me think of is Ialie.

What EXACTLY can you do while unraveling gates? And how long is it supposed to take?

You can LOOK, TELL (but not name-tells, it has to be the full-on TELL NAME), WHO, SCORE, STATUS, INV. Basically, all you can really use are the stock, true-base commands.
It's the same code as teleporting, really; if it interrupts a teleport, it interrupts gateweaving.
30 minutes if you are not Transcendant Planar to unravel a gate. 15 minutes if you are transcendant or have (plus are wielding) a transdimensional needle. 8 minutes if you are both trans and wielding a needle.

Battle and Agressive are basically worthless in PvP. Your beast should be spitting poison at people, or using some other affliction attack, not smacking people for tiny damage. Drop those, or at least drop agressive to save 120 points, and get poison/majorbreath/trample/hypnoticgaze. Spiders are good if you want that last one, otherwise get a wyvern/pegasus/nightmare for flight, or a mammoth for free trample.
For PvE, you would want to take Trot, Riding, Battle, Agressive, Bodyguard, Health Regeneration and Armour for your combat beast and use it as a DMP/extra damage/extra speed source. Alternatively, teach it bodyguard reflection, healing health and regenerate mana. This is also good for both bashing and PvP, but is not as good as having a special beast for both.
Consider using beastmaster learn on Curing. That will let you turn your beast, any beast, into a secondary focus balance for you that doesn't use your mana. Focus spirit is excellent, if you don't actually have to pay the huge mana cost yourself. Having two focus mind balances (one of which cannot be blocked easily), and a herb balance to clear out mental afflictions/timewarp/tempinsanity is excellent as well.

Say
Tell
That's it. It's 30 minutes as well I believe, though I'm -certain- it's either 15 or 30.

How big an effect does strength have on damage (against players and mobs) and wounding.

What is the best way to get an answer to a question that is OOC -- like game mechanics for example -- but is guild / order / city specific and thus probably not suited to be asked here?

If it's game mechanics it's probably something we'll be familiar with regardless of organization.
If it's the mechanics behind an org-specific goodie you could message that Patron.
If that fails, each guild has an OOC clan of some sort (usually for combat) that you could pose the question to.

1) Ask here anyways;
2) Ask your local neighbourhood Envoy.

I use beast firebreath pretty heavily. It's not a lot of damage, around 300, but if you are going for a damage kill it can help keep your momentum going. Plus, with all the weaknesses to fire it seems like the best of the bunch.
That being said, if your class does not have a viable damage kill, both aggressive and minorbreath will be useless.
But, yeah, I would second Aloysha's recommendation of poison, majorbreath and hypnoticgaze as the real heavy hitters in Beastmastery.
