What color is Hallifax?
I've discovered that it's mainly white marble, with splashes of the twelve Continuum gems thrown in.
Ileein2011-01-11 23:08:38
White marble, clear/iridescent crystal, gemstones.

Is it possible to be on a ship and observe an aetherhunt without participating and gaining experience? I'm curious about them, but don't want to ask to go along if I would be acting as a leech without making any contributions.

Experience is not split among crew, it's a set amount modified only by what module you're locked in.

I got turned down for wanting a reaction that sent me a tell when the pet was being attacked.
Seems sorta... inconsistent.

The help file specifically states that you should be able to have a reaction when a pet reaches 1/3 health ('is about to die'); sending a tell would seem perfectly suited to this. :/

You can be on a ship and just not lock into a module. You really aren't leeching, though, since there are always more people on an aetherhunt than can actually do something mechanically.

Learn up to Siphon and you can volunteer for a hunt without worrying about not being able to contribute. Don't be afraid to ask for some help, too. If you fly with people who enjoy aetherhunting, they're probably going to be interested in helping you get the hang of it. Hallifax hunts, at least, tend to be novice-friendly.

If I was using Mush and then, without logging out or pressing the DC button or anything, I logged in using Nexus because I really like their text editor, would that be totally okay and in the rules and not breaking anything?
Lorina2011-01-12 09:00:07
If you log into any other client, you will be logged out automatically from the previous client.
Unknown2011-01-12 09:00:43
Yeah. It will log you out of mush and into nexus when you log in through nexus. I used to do it all the time.

It's a smooth break too, you keep all your defs and stuff.

No, you don't. Some defs are stored by connection instead of by character, and those are lost when you make another connection. Among those are the various totem spirits, at the least. There was a thread about this, but I can't seem to find it...

Oh, I thought they fixed that... I guess I haven't d/ced for a while.

Nope, it used to work like you mentioned, which is how I used the Nexus editor.
However, now it doesn't, and when I go trigger happy and accidentally click my Mushclient again... there goes all my buffs, including my fleshwork buffs which require globs of flesh.

Looking at demi stuff, I see that the Veneration demipower costs 75m essence. Look at the Veneration skill, the first skill in Veneration (Venerate) costs 10m essence or free if Ascendent.
So do you have to pay 75m for the power and then another 10m? I'm confused about what the difference is between the two.

The 75m essence will only unlock the Veneration skill. Then you spend essence learning the skill. Without having Veneration, cult or Order, I can't say for sure, of course, but to me it sounds like 75m+10m.
